Wonder what these guys would be saying if Morrissey was American and I guess the equivalent would be a "proud boy", or a member of those other we-aren't-white-supremacists-but... white supremacist groups. Not sure people have a proper understanding of Morrissey's politics since you aren't as often exposed to British politics as you are American.

I’m honestly so surprised that “Morrissey makes racist remark” is still headline worthy in 2019. Dude showed his ass at least a decade ago and yet publications keep giving into him and making it a huge news story every time he says something racist. I wish websites would just agree to stop giving him more attention and not even give him an audience to hear his crap.

Even less newsworthy is Brandon Flowers’ assessment of Moz’s musical merits. Not sure why it’s notable that past-his-prime 2000s indie rock singer accurately evaluated his contributions to the musical landscape just because he didn’t suffix it with “well yeah he’s also super racist.”

 

I'm not leaping to Flowers' defence at all, its a dumb, dumb comment, but his band literally just headlined one of the most prestigious festivals in the world, I don't think it makes sense to frame him as some kind of has-been.

This is what the other co-owner of the festival posted on Facebook after that article was posted. He also admitted to knowing about Spencer’s behavior the entire time they worked together. It’s all extremely sad and gross.

You know what I always think makes you look more credible? It's when you threaten to destroy someone's life in an explitive-laden facebook rant. That's how you can be sure someone is on the up and up.
