I liked that Forbes interview but I’m sorry Mark I really don’t see “California” being as important 20 years from now as much as “Enema of the State” is today. I find it strange that it’s even being viewed in the same ballpark. I get the comparisons as far as where the band is and their “rebirth” of sorts but I just don’t see that album resonating as strongly as Enema. But then again I’m not 13 discovering blink for the first time so I dunno.

Pretty basic answer. I don't think Mark or anybody thinks California will be close to the impact of Enema. Should he answer the question with "I hope everybody forgets we made it"? Lol reading way too much into that

Random thought:

I think it would be cool if Blink went back to the old "one composer sings his songs" style they had before relying more and more on dual vocals.

I always thought it was cool you could see Mark songs and Tom songs. It was Beatles esque and it was pretty unique in the scene.

 

Mark’s bass on reverb is currently at $68,000. Did Tom bid?

Set list last night was strange. No Blame it on My Youth, Generational Divide, or Happy Days. Also confirmed that Feeling This was dropped.

I actually was looking forward to hearing some new stuff, but they sounded great.

 

I wonder if they’re dropping the new songs due to crowd reaction

 

If they don't play Feeling This at my show on the 14th, I'll riot.

 

Maybe. I’d expect the enema 20th anniversary crowd to be a little less familiar with new material

 

I was surprised at how little reaction some of the Enema songs got last night. Even in the pit, it seemed like most people weren't familiar with the material.
