Why is talking like this to people on here allowed whenever it's in favor of the majority opinion?

I haven't had any input cause I don't even see where the conversation started, and I think millionaires fighting over money is obnoxious so I don't care too much. I fully respect and support the idea that musicians should not have to sell their masters, they should 100% be theirs. That's about all i've taken from the initial issue here.

This guy claiming he works with Scott, if his opinions and stance on the situation suck or are seemingly wrong (and I agree that some are), then take it up with him in some DM's. This site proudly promotes anti-bullying and people get banned for a lot less, so how about calling people losers and telling them to shut the fuck up also gets nixed?

 

Because before that there were two pages of women trying to give their point of view and express that this is a thing women deal with nonstop to help educate him on the veiled misogyny in his comments and he ignored them

 

Because he's arguing in bad faith, ignoring every counter made by a woman and pretending like his singular experience speaks for everyone.

If you don't care too much, why weigh in? The argument isn't even millionaires fighting over, it's an artist fighting for the art she created from a certified asshole enabler.

The fact that your *very first thought* when you came in here was to defend the guy who has spent 2 days literally ignoring women and sowing discord in this thread is something you should examine yourself.

 

Okay, so this dude has a lot to work on. When is doing the shitty things we all criticize people for and online gang bullying somebody for a difference of opinion/clear ignorance the right answer? As I said before it's definitely possible to have those polite conversations where people learn things but women aren't obligated to educate men on how they're being shitty and if they are trying to have those polite conversations you GOTTA meet halfway and listen

the real answer is, because he was clearly making a point to be sexist. you don't accidentally ignore every single post by women and only interact with those by men. it's not a coincidence when a woman posts something and you ignore it and then a man copies and pastes it and you respond to it then. at that point you are just being openly and blatantly sexist lol

I've read the majority of it. I've even been attempting to skip some of it because yes, the guy isn't getting the point. I didn't defend a single thing he said, stop jumping to conclusions. No, you don't get to come in here and do this.

A number of women have spent 2 days dealing with the attempted erasure of their entire point of view by a guy who is intentionally choosing to ignore them, and then continues to post problematic opinions with absolutely no interest in an actual discussion, but somehow a few people telling him to fuck off is the problem you decide to insert yourself in here and try and solve?
