He has been saying that he was going to stop at ten films for a long time now, so it is the same basic thing. He takes a while between films, though, so he has a lot of time to change his mind.

It is probably for the best. He has been one of the most important directors over the last few decades, but as modern opinions evolve and his inability to change his ways it is going to come to a head.

He’s burnt out from finishing his new film and no doubt doesn’t want to think about writing/production for the time being. Daniel Craig got a lot of press because when promoting Spectre he hinted he was done with Bond because he probably spent the last year filming/promoting it so he was in a state of mind that he didn’t want to think about Bond for a long while.

I was trying to watch/rewatch every Tarantino movie before this came out but I need to step up the pace, I'm only on Jackie Brown lol

I did that a few weeks ago, was planning one a week but happened to have 2 days off and after RD I just didn't want to stop.

I included True Romance, Natural Born Killers and From Dusk Til Dawn which is what slowed me down I think lol.

This is/will actually be the first time I ever see Natural Born Killers (loved it), Dusk Til Dawn (liked the first half), Jackie Brown, Death Proof and Hateful Eight which is another reason I wanted to do it

I've still never seen Dusk Til Dawn. I also realised I'd never seen Death Proof. I thought I had and didn't like it but it was amazing.

Death Proof is one of my least favorite QT flicks. I still enjoy it, but I actually preferred RR’s Planet Terror way more than I did Death Proof.

Planet Terror is great but Death Proof is much better for me. The Hateful Eight is the only film he's made that I don't absolutely love.

Sounded like he was. Just was letting him know in case he wasn’t aware.

Just looked it up, season 1 episode 24 “Motherhood”. This was fresh off of Pulp Fiction success and around the time Clooney made From Dusk Til Dawn.

The second half of From Dusk Till Dawn is what makes it great

I know a lot of people share that opinion, and I watched the movie already knowing what happened in the second half but I found the first half genuinely really compelling and felt that if they just followed up on it all the way it could have been a really good crime thriller. I know that defeats the purpose though lol

  23. There seems to be a lot of articles/talk on QT actually “retiring” after this one. Is it legit or just some posturing?

If you turn off From Dusk Til Dawn when the vampires show up it is pretty good.
