Obviously a lot can change quickly but Toronto has only 1 player signed on defense beyond this year. 5 UFA’s and 2 RFA’s.

1 RFA defenseman remain yet currently.

Also realizing that Binnington still doesn’t have a new contract. Hmm.... very curious to see what that ends up being.

Gardiner has a bad back, that's likely the only reason he hasn't been signed yet. It would be good for him to be on a team like the jets, with depth there so he has a lesser load.
