So I haven't checked in for a bit but they announced they're done by 2018 and people are freaking out about it? They've been MIA for mad long now, is it really that big of a thing? We're getting one last album which is way more than I ever thought we would really.

Why exactly?

 

Brand new being Brand new and trolling fans some more is all this is. I wont believe there is a new album until we actually have it.

 

They aren't doing anything differently now than they've done for years

 

Well, no, but it has a cumulative effect and it's starting to get really old.

 

I do understand that, but I have to ask, if it's so bothersome and irritating, why pay attention at all? Wouldn't it be easier to just ignore the rumors, bypass the chatter completely and return when things actually, legitimately happen? I'm just honestly curious because I've seen some of the same people say similar things on multiple occasions and I guess if I was that annoyed by anything they were doing I'd just... Look away, I guess.

 

I don't get what everyone is upset about they seem to be pretty clear to me. They are going to release one more album and then call it quits in 2018. If for some reason you don't believe them or think they are messing with us fans I think that says something more about you than the band.

 

Yeah, I mean, I don't pay much attention to it. It's irritating but it's not like it's keeping me up at night or anything. that's really all I've been trying to say, I guess, though I see how posting about it may give off the impression that I'm more up in arms about it than I am.

 

I am happy that Brand New is telling us ''Hey guys we're done soon." It lets me know that I better see my favorite band any opporunity I have in the next year and a half because they're going to be gone soon.

 

Brand New is breaking up in 2018 only to immediately resurrect as New Brand, a Brand New cover band that sometimes writes and performs their own songs.

 

New Brand will also double as their PR firm, which specialises in re-inventing bands brands every few years

 

I just can't wait for the inevitable box set in a couple years.

Sweet! I'm making a 6 hour drive up from Arkansas.

 

Nah tonight won't be the last. I'm guessing 2-3 more tours. I have two tickets for thr Brand New / Modest Mouse show in Atlanta if anyone is looking for a pair.

 

So next single is only after the tour...i don't know why i'm even asking who the hell knows lol

2-3 more tours sure, but not through the same areas. Maybe one more states tour I'm thinking

 

Hopefully they come to Brazil one last time.
