I'm a bit underwhelmed with the singles so far. Starting to think this may be my least fave blink album if the album tracks are similar sounding. Just sounds so generic and missing Toms creativity. That being said, I ended up loving California and deluxe.

 

I wonder if he did the Happy Days neon artwork. I think that would be a cool album cover

Weird considering all of Tom's music post-Untitled is also missing Tom's creativity.

 

Obviously we all have our own tastes and opinions blah blah blah but I don't know what you mean by this. All 3 songs are pretty different in tone and style so I'm not sure what a "similar sounding" album would even be. If we're following the pattern of these 3 then it would be like 12 completely different sounding songs (or however many tracks).

I really love that Tim Pagnotta seems to have worked with them quite a bit, or at least on HD and BIOMY. I adore his sound.

 

This band has pleased me. 3 new songs. One experimental song, one fast punk song, one classic pop rock song.

I love it.

 

I wasn't saying the 3 songs sound the same. Just that if the album tracks are one of these 3 DIFFERENT sounds then Im unsure if I'll dig it.
I don't love any of the sounds. BIOMY sounds like imagine dragons to me. Generational Divide is okay but would like it more if it was longer, would be great to have a punk song with a proper guitar riff. Happy days is pretty generic but okay, kind of needs Matt (or Tom) vocally.

 

I liked the song. Same level as blame it.

haha I was half joking. I understand he's tried some different stuff that lots of people have still enjoyed, but I was poking fun at the fact that I constantly see posts saying Tom is/was the creative center of the band yet I hardly ever see people who were satisfied with Neighborhoods or DED. I mainly believe people don't really know what they actually want from this band 15+ years later.

 

Yeah, I'm not saying Tom was the creative centre. Your half joke was very well played.

I do love Dogs Eating Dogs EP though. Was so pumped for a blink record after that. Shame it never happened with Tom again.

 

Someone give Travis an Emmy because this is by far the best acting and most emotion I’ve ever seen from him.

For some reason each new song that comes out makes me like BIOMY more. I still think it’s my least favorite of the three but it’s a pretty cool song. This album is shaping up to be pretty rad!
