Solid start. Streep's scream was terrifying.

Soooooo much happened this episode!

 

I'm not gonna not be rich

 

She’s the MVP.

Also I really think we’re going to learn that Perry killed his brother as a kid and Mary Louise knew about it.

 

Hmm I could see that happening. I didn't know Perry was going to be featured this much this season, so it feels like something new is going to be revealed about him
Also, I liked the scene of Celeste bringing the boys over to hang with Jane and Ziggy. I thought that was sweet, considering all the pain surrounding their relation to each other.

 

I’m rooting for that to develop in a positive way SO hard.

 

I feel bad for Adam Scott's character. Seems like such a good dude.

 

God damn that episode was nuts

 

This was the best episode of the series so far. Holy crap.

I love how this show is endlessly quotable while also tackling important questions
I feel like the big thing is gonna be how much Mary Louise knew, I could see Perry bragging about being with lots of women to his mom

 

Meryl Streep’s character is so vile and heartbreaking.

I think this season is already better than the first.

 

That scene with Mary Louise and Jane was maybe the hardest one to get through in the whole show. Just devastating.

 

It is so frustrating to watch Mary Louise harass them, Meryl Streep has been so great so far.

holy shit at Madeline crying about Rainbow Connection and climate change and the possible dissolution of her marriage

 

Madeline's speech was heartbreaking. Jane's date asking their server all the food questions was killing me.

 

I really get a creeper vibe from the dude Jane is seeing, but maybe that's just me. I was annoyed he'd even order fish if he's gonna ask all those questions lol.

 

Everyone has that vibe about him. I can’t figure out if it’s meant to be misdirection that after everything she’s been through and viewers have been through we just don’t trust anyone or if he will turn out to be awful. I also thought the fish thing was crazy because I’m sure any waitress in that area would know where the fish comes from and Jane definitely would have known about the sustainability issues he went on about. I still miss Joseph Cross.

 

Mary Louise is making my blood boil. Even her evil grandma voice is irritating at this point. Meryl Streep continues doing a great job on this.

Some plots are losing me but I’m glad they seem to have dropped the Abigail / college thing.

My hotel doesn’t have HBO and someone stole the roomcast cable from our room so I couldn’t watch last night. I think it took not being able to watch live for me to realize just how much I adore this show. Have to catch up tonight.

 

Nervously anticipating when all this is gonna blow up. Feels like a ticking time bomb at this point. Feel bad for Celeste.

 

Just watched episode 3 of this season and wow is this good.

 

this week in Renata being iconic- she apparently spent $4200 on Botox somehow and throws an 8 year old a disco themed party where all the adults also dress up

 

I thought jane might have asked her for the money for a paternity test, after she looked odd after seeing mary louise, and renata was covering for that, but now i doubt it lol
