  1. Alien: Ressurection was one of the best worst movies I've seen in a long time. Bad direction, bad writing, an absolutely batshit plot, great casting, a mixed bag of performances, and some great creature design. Just a blast. It is definitely the late 90s blockbuster version of an Alien movie, for better or for worse.

I mean, Ron Perlman shoots a fucking spider out of its web at one point.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

such a terrible, terrible movie but Perlman, Sigourney Weaver, Winona Ryder and Brad Dourif on my screen at the same time?? it doesn't even matter that I can't remember what any of them do, that's a hell fucking yes

Enjoyed the hell out of Child's Play, found it hugely entertaining and really funny where it mattered. Has its advantages and disadvantages over the original but I enjoyed it to pretty much the same degree. I have never been a big fan of rebooting or remaking films but with both Child's Play and Pet Sematary both being enjoyable I am softening on the idea somewhat.

Alien Resurrection is a very bad movie but a lot of fun to watch. the animatronics for the Xenomorphs really started to get good right around then.

Wasn’t impressed with The Legend of Hell House or The Other, though I did like The Other better.

Gonna watch Demons (1985) later tonight

Child's Play was exactly what a reboot should be. That was a lot of fun and a great take on the story. I was freaking out and squirming out of my seat for the first two deaths. That's exactly what I want from a slasher.

Re-watching Freddy’s Dead, this movie is insane with the slapstick and the 3-D gimmick towards the end.

I remember Conleth Hill was in this. It was creepy and the visuals were great, was quite predictable though but ain't the worst horror I've seen.

It’s not an opening scene but Tina’s death in the first Nightmare is probably one of the best first kills.
