of course the bar is low but i thought he redeemed himself in this one. his one liner humour reminded me of the old days and he didn't have to try too hard.

His Netflix special is great. His performance in the Meyerowitz Stories was among the best performances of last year (or 2017? I forget when it came out)

  3. I liked Meyerowitz stories a lot

I wonder what Adam Sandler thinks about the (alleged) Blink tour.

All I saw were ads for that Uber driver song and the Wallet Keys song and those convinced me not to watch his special. If I hated those will I hate the rest or does it get better than that

Look, we already don't believe current blink enough right now, you saying we shouldn't trust what ex-blink is saying now, too?

You're not gonna go to the AVA tour?

I got way too much coming up...Third Eye Blind/JEW in July, The Smashing Pumpkins/Noel Gallagher, Beck and Tame Impala in August, Angels and Airwaves and Blink/Wayne in September, and Bon Iver, Sara Bareilles and Charli XCX in October.

As I write that out I am now so glad I decided to sell my Warped Tour ticket. Still sad I'm not gonna see Blink on Sunday though : (

No, it really is... he hasn't had anything good since Just Go With It, but me and my wife actually really liked this. It's not winning an award, but it's definitely something good to watch when you've got a bit of time to kill.

I did watch it, it was enjoyable enough. I wouldn't say very good cause to me that means I'd watch it again which isn't likely. But it wasn't bad.

What I’ll say about Murder Mystery: it wasn’t absolutely awful.

    And that’s high praise.

  17. I think Charlize Theron (!!) and Jennifer Aniston in the EP roles probably helped raise the bar above the standard Sandler fair. It’s a fun watch. I put it on as a goof before bed and I stayed up and watched it.

Aniston and Sandler have legit chemistry and I would like to see them in a movie trying 10-25% harder

Reign over me and funny people are top notch. Didn’t like funny people at first but over the years have really come to like it. It’s long and has too many plots but I appreciate it.

    ^ this.

I liked Murder Mystery, but it’s just kind of... there. The two of them have great chemistry and Sandler, while still playing basically himself, is a bit more likable than his past few years of movies. But the movie itself is mildly funny, but isn’t exactly memorable

  21. I was probably overselling it but for WHAT IT WAS, it delivered. I went in expecting just unwatchable dreck, I came out the other end very entertained
