I always disliked the long pause, so that’s a win for me. I also like that it’s a separate track. Have t listened to the full Apple Music version yet though so maybe some of the other stuff will be more annoying to me.

 

I was just about to post in here that Juice downloaded for me on Spotify...but then I went to go listen to it...

When you listen to the track it is a 30 second PSA saying it wasn’t cleared but you can still listen to this bit to give streaming money to Social works (and boost his streaming numbers)

As far as paranoia I like it as a separate song since it is my favorite on that album, but the pause is such an essential part for me. Used to get lost in thought when I listened to it super stoned and paranoia kinda brought me back down.

 

They are also available as a free download on his website I’m pretty sure, but from Twitter responses it seems like most people don’t really grasp the concept of local files on Spotify or iCloud Music Library on Apple Music

 

I remember downloading both of these albums in 2013 or so and then transferred them to my phone/iPod. However, years ago, they were mysteriously wiped out from my iTunes on my computer and when i resynced my new phone I lost them...so I haven't listened to the majority of these songs in 4 or 5 years.

 

Also, uploading local files from Spotify has always been a painful experience for me personally

 

I agree big time. Couldn’t do it from my shared college apartment WiFi once they stopped letting you use the USB cable to do it. Big reason i ended up switching to Apple Music despite loving Spotify.

 

Even without Juice I’d still want the Acid Rap vinyl (I wonder if the pause in pusha man/paranoia is still on vinyl because I assume the decision was made based on streaming), but $35 is sooo steep for a 1 LP vinyl, and I doubt the “special packaging” is anything worth the extra $15. Unless it is 2 LPs I guess it may be just a little too long for 1.

 

Without juice and the pause it is still 50 minutes long. I feel like that is too long for 2 sides without compressing the hell out of it. Most of my LPs that are that long are either 4 sides or 3 sides.

Side A would be perfect as Intro / Pusha Man / Silence / Paranoia, would run about 15 minutes.

 

Yea that’s what I kind of realized after I wrote out the post haha so I guess it makes more sense when I thought about it

 

I think if they were double LPs the mockups would showcase that. I have a ton of questions about these so I can’t pull the trigger just yet, especially at that price point. Rumor is that VMP is also involved in these. Are they going to be made available to their members (which I am one) at a lower or similar price point (“free shipping”)? Are they going to be bundled for a discount? And obviously what does the tracklisting look like?

My issue with vinyl as of late is a huge lack of details. I want pressing information. Who’s cutting it. Where is it being pressed. From what source. Etc. with vinyl prices skyrocketing I feel like we the consumer should have access to all of that information.

 

Big agree. Also it doesn’t specify if it is limited, but it doesn’t seem that way so I feel pretty comfortable holding out for VMP information. Even if it is the same price, I think that VMP will at least give the details I want.

 

It’s insane that an artist is asking almost $40 for a single LP and we aren’t even sure what the tracklisting is. Sure, if you don’t want it don’t buy it.....but I do want it, just need concrete details.

 

Chance’s shop has always been super vague on details when it comes to pretty much all of its products. Like even his hats are kind of lower quality compared to other New Era sports hats. But I guess when you’re raking in money like he is, you don’t need to give out a whole lot of details if enough fans will blind buy.

 

Also wild that with the vinyl + the streams he may have a couple of top 10 albums on the charts at once

 

Im guessing 2 lp, not that this is confirmation for sure but the mock-up of acid rap has 2 songs listed on the label. Looks like Good Ass Intro and Pusha Man / Paranoia. Coloring book has three songs listed.

Also I wouldn’t be shocked if Juice was on the vinyl, maybe wishful thinking but if he was close to getting clearance in time to put them on streaming, maybe it will be corrected. At the very least I bet eventually the streaming version will be updated with it. Either way some clarity would be nice

 

I'm just going to guess that if he couldn't clear Juice in 6 years that he probably won't get it cleared in 6 years and a few more months

 

Good eye, 2LP seems likely with that mock up in mind.

 

I never realized how crucial juice is to acid rap until now hearing it without it.

also it’s unfortunate everyone has to hear the worst rap lyric ever with ab soul verse.

 

I really love how this rerelease has brought attention to 10 Day, it's amazing and SO many people overlook it

 

Never actually listened to 10 Day. Should get to it soon.

 

Have any of you heard his pre-10 Day mixtapes? Those are good too.

 

Yeah I don’t think the pre 10 day is mind blowing but definitely a worthwhile listen. You can definitely tell that his potential was huge when you listen to that stuff.
