Awesome, thanks. Cool to see an homage to one of my favorite albums growing up. :)

Right? I mean it's like three bands (alk3, blink, RBF) I've loved so much at various points in my life all converging.

Wait @Chris Prindle ...if you don't count the greatest hits record....then the next letter for the "blink alphabet theory" the next letter would be "J" and I am naming my son JAY!

    coincidence??? I think NOT!!!!

Very true...my boys have unique names, but with my name being Chris, I didn't want 3 kids in their classrooms with the same name every year (as I did). My boys are Ryker, Treyson and Kyser.

Same. Honestly just hearing Mark and Matt on an album together still blows my mind. I hope we get a few more in the future. :)

My Blink fandom ended years ago. They are purely a nostalgia band for me now. But I love Alkaline Trio, so I was anxious to check this out. At this point, I am through "No Future" and I really dig it. Tons of fun. I can totally see myself listening to this for the rest of the summer.

So many profiles I'm not used to seeing in this thread but that's great that so many others are digging the album

Dude I like all three of those! I told my wife I just wanted him to have a "y" in it for some reason and it totally fits with yours, not as original though. But i totally feel you, having the name Ryan sucked. There were 8 other kids in my freshman health class in high school with the same fuckin name...the worst.

On iTunes "hot tracks" every song is $1.29 and "Bored To Death" is $0.69...wonder why that is?

    besides, you know....69.

I know they won't but I'd be completely fine if they skipped "Bored to Death" live. Mark does not sound good on it.

    Agreed.

Skiba sounded great on all the small things as well.

For that exact reason. Or maybe to hook on anyone who hasn't bought the album yet. Hey like that cheap .69 cent song? Buy the whole album!

Overall, I think it's a pretty good album. Matt's talent is definitely on display and he meshes well with Mark. However, there are 2 points that are sticking in my head:

    1. Maybe it's the Feldmann influence but a lot of these songs feel like could easily be All Time Low songs. Not that that's a bad thing, in itself, but a lot of the album just feels and sounds too produced and too poppy.

    2. It's just not Blink without Tom. It's nothing against Matt and, no, I'm not a DeLonge fanboy. I just feel like Blink is one of those bands that needs certain members to carry on. There a lot of great songs on this album, but when I'm listening to them, I don't immediately know I'm listening to Blink.

Ugh, no he didn't. Seriously did not. His voice was nowhere close to hitting the notes in the first verse. Every live video we've seen of it so far has been bad.

His vocal mix was low on that song but he was definitely hitting the notes. They even had backing tracks going.

So we still have yet to hear of anyone winning anything from the pre-order?

No VIP tickets or signed bass winners yet?

It's weird because the website still has "pre orders" up for sale that make you eligible for the contest, and on there it says it doesn't release until July 22nd?

Kudos to King's Road/USPS for getting my drum-head pre-order package in the mail on Wednesday in LA and getting it to me, in Maine, today. Excited to open it up when I get home from work.

Threw the digital copy they sent me on my iPod this morning before work. On my second listen now. This thing is so much fun.

    Things have changed.

His verse and pre-chorus sound terrible live – yes, even today.
