I’m interested to see the questions asked at the debates. Obviously they can’t ask the same exact questions each night as that would give night 2 an advantage, but I assume they will both focus on the same topics right?

Ask anyone other candidate and see if what they say is any different, probably won’t be. It’s dumb to ask these things at this stage of the campaign

I’ve been trying to think of what Trump’s handling of calling off the missile attack on Iran reminded me of, and it finally came to me:

    Officer: You wanna press charges?
Michael: Would she get into trouble?
    Officer: Yes, she’d be charged.
Michael: I will take the fall. I did it.

I haven’t read the whole bill so maybe that would answer my question, but regarding Bernie’s student debt bill:

So the government would cancel all student debt, paid for by a Wall Street speculation tax, so presumably the government takes on that debt and pays it off in how ever many years it takes for the tax to raise that much money.

Public colleges would be tuition free. Obviously private colleges are not, so would the government just automatically take on any debt that students going to private colleges take on? How would that work?

I am unable to come up with a witty way to put this, but I wish more people were taken aback by the fact that policies our country is actively pursuing and enforcing are too fucked up for even Bank of America and the LAPD to support.

I feel like John Kerry 2.0 is too complimentary to Joe BIden.

Joe Biden would be a much better candidate than Kerry. Kerry was only a Senator and had the personality of a curtain. Biden has 8 years of VP name rec/love and even people that don’t like him much say he’s extremely affable in person/when talking to him.

People definitely won’t be excited to vote for him....but he’s definitely the “likable” candidate that Hillary (and Kerry really) were not. My reservations about Biden are way more policy based than electability based at this point.

Watching the debate preshow this right now and they’re showing the disparity in white and black support for the different candidates.

Biden is crushing with black voters. What can Bernie or Liz do to break through there?? Is he the hope there that Biden’s support among black voters is soft and transient?

It’s seriously a really bad comparison.

Kerry to Gore is a much closer comparisom than Biden to Kerry.

I just can’t see anyone who didn’t vote for Hillary in 2016 being like “I didn’t vote Hillary, but Biden? Yeah I’ll vote for him”

    That won’t happen

Oh god I know like 2-3 people alone that would do this. I think you’re underestimating how many everyday American types bought into the shrill ‘bitchy’ Hillary I don’t like her thing. People that don’t pay much attention to politics still heard nothing but bad things about her since the 90s. They just knew they didn’t like her.
