The chorus of No Future is one of the worst things on this album. Does not sound good.

 

Time to listen.

 

Is it bad that my wife has 5 weeks left until her due date and I was reallyyyy hoping she would go early today so that my first son (first kid period) would be born on the release day and the 182nd day of the year?

Disagree but I've noticed no one seems to agree on any song or chorus on this album, everyone's view is different. That's how you know they well

The piano in Home really does it for me. Background keys always did wonders for them.

 

For the first time in about 9 years, I've actually enjoyed hearing All The Small Things. Matt Skiba is my new husband.

 

Has anyone ordered "California" on vinyl where there was a chance you would be sent a limited edition silver variant instead of black if you pre ordered? I have just found out this is the case for me. I haven't received it yet but it said on my "despatched confirmation" email. I am however not bothered either way. Pretty cool. However I do like black vinyl a lot. Haha

 

Damnit, I don't know how it happened but Teenage Satellites is my favorite song right now. Thought it was a middle of the pack type but with each listen it creeps up

Haha, I started seeing a new girl a couple weeks ago, and I was hoping to try to seal the deal today for 182 day. Feels too soon, though.

 

That and San Diego are my favourites just now. I don't know why teenage satellites was getting slated. Haha. I love it

 

Funny you say that, I've been spinning the record since last Friday now and it was def lower on the totem pole for me as well and has started to pass the pack, it's not my favorite but its more of a grower.

I think Left Alone is the best song on the album but TS just puts me in a really good mood

 

This is so stupid for me to even bring it up and make any assumptions, but screw it. Looks like Tom is on vacation in Hawaii right now. I can't help but feel like he needed to escape on the weekend of the new release, haha.

 

If she likes blink, she'll understand....

 

Having listened to the album 4 times now the only one I have started to skip is California. It's too soft and lighters in the air for me I think...

 

Any Reel Big Fish fans in the house?

In "The Only Thing That Matters," Matt sings "some day you'll come back to me, and I'll say something bitterly."

In the Reel Big Fish song "All I Want Is More," with a similar melody (but without the held notes), they say "someday maybe you'll come back to me, and I'll say 'why don't you go fuck yourself?'"

I'm not accusing Blink of anything. It's just impossible for me to listen to this song without thinking of Reel Big Fish, haha.

And to add to the track ranking discussion - I can't do it! I love it all. I wish the b-side were on the album too. :(

 

She's coming with me to see blink in Milwaukee on Tuesday. I'll see what I can do. Haha.

Agreed. I just love that line in the chorus of San Diego "We bought a one way ticket
So we could go see the Cure" catchy! Haha
