"Hey I'm Sorry" not making the tracklist over a few songs that did, is the most WHAT THE FUCK thing of all time.

 

Only took a quick listen while getting ready for work, so I'll need to listen more, but my first impressions:

-Skiba sounds awesome
-The album has really good tracks, mixed in with a lot of "Meh" that reminds me more of today's pop punk, which I don't consider to be good
-The only thing that matters is an awesome track that sounds straight from Enema of the State

 

Not bad for early morning. Crowd seemed pretty into it! Let's see what else they play this morning.

MY VOTE AT THE FIRST LISTEN: 6/10
I went to buy it excited as always, I listened to it in the car and I came back a little disappointed at home. First thing I noticed: the poorest digipak, zero content. Look at the self-titled for those who have it...It was a small masterpiece.
The beginning gave me chills, Cynical as start is great but too short, like almost all the songs. But then? Then that’s it.
I didn’t felt any emotion, and this is the biggest lack of this album: zero emotions. Yes, there are some good ideas, a few verses and choruses are also worthy of note, but nothing that warms my heart like older works up to 2003 (with the self-titled peaking the best of their careers). The joke songs just bothered me while I listened the album, really doesn't make sense to me today.
And what about 16 songs in just 42 minutes!? Is this a joke too?
For now the songs that are going beyond the album mediocre level are Cynical, BTD and California. Hey I’m sorry is a really nice surprise too. If I knew this before I would have ordered it from Amazon Japan.

In the end I DON’T UNDERSTAND why they ended with a joke song instead of California, which is a beautiful song, it’s just wrong!!
This is how I feel after the first listen. I hope the more I listen, the more I will like it. For now, this album gave me almost nothing, and I’m sad about it...

Anytime I see a long post of someone ranting how much they don't like this record, I just skip over it at this point.

 

Incredibly happy for this band right now.

Maybe it's my stream. They sound extremely tinny to me, but nothing else sounds off. I'm looking forward to the HQ later.

 

Who'd have thought a day would come that I'd enjoy watching blink play All The Small Things again lol

 

So I waited listening to this in full until this morning....and holy crap. I was a 30 year old woman driving to work teary eyed from pure joy this morning. It is so damn good. Everything I have waited patiently for for 13 years.
