Love pizzicato! They used it in the outro of Empty Apartment, but that's the only place I can think of... also LOVE the outro of Sleep In The Snow violin-wise.

at least on AP I can dispute that, it wasn't well received on the forums. I still don't really care for it.

 

Wtf is that about? I feel like a lot of stuff is slowly vanishing from Apple Music recently.

 

In the past I feel like albums have disappeared randomly and then come back randomly. I honestly have no idea. It's still on spotify.

 

It's so easily the worst in their catalog. I listened last week with the "it can't be that bad" mentality, and in my head I've definitely made it worse than it is. But relative to the rest of their discography, I don't think it's even close.

 

Lights and Sounds has some great songs (especially the title track, Rough Landing and Holly Wood Died), but most of it is forgettable music-wise.

 

I liked about half of it, which is more than I remember liking. It just doesn't have the emotional heft of their other work for me.

 

usually when a record disappears, it means that there's a transition of rights or publishing company.

 

I will never understand the hate for Lights and Sounds. It's not my favorite of theirs, but it's still pretty good. Their worst album (not counting the early stuff with the old lineup) is One For The Kids.

 

L&S is great but it's definitely the least impressive of the big 6

 

I found Southern Air at the record store for $12 yesterday. That was a pleasant surprise. Not sure how I didn't have that one on vinyl yet.

They only had one, as far as I could see, at least in the sale bin. It was a copy that they had played in the store a couple times, so it was opened.

 

I randomly realized the other day that I never actually bought Paper Walls and it's the only Yellowcard album since The Underdog EP that I didn't buy. But I got a cheap copy on Amazon that's coming today so I'll be complete.

 

Every time I revisit Lights and Sounds, I always think it's finally going to click for me and I'll like it, but instead I just like it less than I had before. It really has only gotten worse for me over time.
