  1. How?

    I'm legitimately asking.

I think it’s got to be a mix of high ticket cost, no album for blink to promote (not sure if Lil Wayne has a new album coming out soon or not), poor roll out of the tour announcement where the first show was a little over a month away and seemingly neither blink fans or Lil Wayne fans being interested in seeing the other artist/band.

But you’re right this is very strange.

I hate the amphitheater in CT so I’d definitely like to see them play at a small venue.

If I had known that guy previously had such a shit take on Brand New I def wouldn't have even mentioned his gross ass

I still can't get over the Olympic-level mental gymnastics required to convince yourself that "I'm A fAn Of A bAnD nOt A gUy" is a defensible position to promote publicly

Same. I'm at least hopeful getting in and out of the venue/parking won't be such a shit show since it's not close to being a sell out.

Well, on the one hand, Facebook has destroyed our concept of privacy, helped elect an authoritarian asshole, and ushered in a post-truth era. All bad.

But, on the other hand, you can definitely talk about your love of JL on FB without much pushback.

I can definitely see how Chorus would seem more toxic.

Still nothing official on a Columbus cancellation?

  9. It's just crazy to me that in the last 10 years they've been playing bigger places than they were when they were at their peak of popularity (2000-2004.) Pretty incredible really.

I didn't minimize anything, I just didn't know the whole story. I'm defending the idea that some people can separate the art from the artist. I respect that. Maybe that YouTube dude is a douche, who knows. As I've said, I still enjoy his videos even though I disagree with him at times. If he actually IS defending the members then that would be one of those times.

I’ve only seen the one tweet mentioning it with no screenshot to back it up, no posts on the FB event. My guess is false alarm.

He literally is defending the members. By publicly defending the music he is defending the members. You can't have one without the other where public statements are concerned. There is no such thing as separating the art from the artist in public.

  13. Not that I've seen. I assume that the tweet was either from an illegitimate source, they were trying to start shit, or no one in Ohio has checked their emails yet.

I enjoy Mohegan Sun, Bridgeport Arena or Oakdale so much more just because parking is such a nightmare. I remember it took me over an hour to get out of the parking lot for the Pop Disaster Tour.

The whole tour just seems weirdly planned. I know they kicked it off with a new single but realistically it would have been smarter to have the album out or at the very least a few songs (I know GD was released Friday but it way too close to the tour now to reel it back in).

It just seems there should have been a longer wait period between the album getting momentum/hype going and the shows.

They’ve played at the same venue in CT since 2001 outside of a one off show at a casino arena in 2013 (they were booked two other times at that arena but got cancelled because Travis was sick both times).

Probably going to see a 'Buy One, Get 10 Free' ticket sale promotion coming here soon.

  18. I don't think the vast majority of people going to the show are going for new music/a new album.

Their reunion show there was a nightmare. Sold out the day of I think. Sat in one spot on the highway for like 2 hours lol. I didn't get an early start cause I had to work but still. If I do go a non-sellout sounds great to me haha

  20. Their reunion show here was awesome (for me.) They played at an arena just a few blocks away from my house so I just walked to the show.

Or maybe no one else in Ohio actually bought tickets to this show...

    Things have changed.

Another mention. I'm bummed that this tour is selling poorly. Should have been a really special summer given the anniversary.

Parking was actually okay at least. There was a Burger King not far away that let you park for free

OMG, please cancel the CT show and let me get my $400 back. Sorry, not sorry.
