As I said, I don't know. I don't listen to that band. I also don't judge others for doing so. One could argue that blink-182 with their previous history of homophobia and songs about incest would be enough for other people to judge their fans as well.

This would have been their choice. Travis is good friends with Wayne.

 

Maybe they get weekly reports so they don't have to check it themselves or that's what having assistants are for after all right?

Bands have a guarantee, promoters price based on needing to meet the guarantee and still make money themselves after expenses.

Thanks for that. Yeah makes sense. So in other words blink/Lil Wayne is going to get paid whether they get 100 people to show up or 10,000? Would having more people show up mean they get more money?

 

My show on the California tour didn't sell out until about a week before the show.

I think the PNC center NJ added Lil Wayne to the bill this weekend (I'm not thrilled with it, but not a hater.) Possible last minute addition to sell more tickets?

I think someone said that Lil Wayne being added to certain venues on the tour that he wasn't previously announced for had to do with some type of statue of limitations (I don't remember the correct term for it) where an artist can't be announced for multiple shows on different tours within a certain mile radius within a certain date in time.

Some tours follow a lower guarantee plus revenue share after the promoter’s cost of the guarantee is met. Band as big as blink likely just has a flat fee + merch revenue model. So the promoters and venues will get screwed with lack of sales and concessions $$. And those promoters likely won’t book blink again... at least to venues of these sizes.
