I wanna try Avondale. I just learned the violin riff on keyboard, and Garage Band added some chinese instruments. I got a really cool effect with the Erhu.

I listen to Going Off Track every week so I knew he was friends with the band, and I heard on the Your Favorite Album podcast that Stay What You Are is his favorite album so I contacted him and asked if he'd be interested in participating. Super cool that it worked out!

 

Since I'm a sucky guitar player with a sucky guitar, and Hang You Up is the only song I can somewhat play, I'm going to attempt to learn another song. No promises though.

I won't say the name in the hopes that someone else won't be discouraged to try it since I could/will fail catastrophically. I plan on having tons of violin though.

 

I've been toying with Paper Walls this morning, I'll see how I go with recording it and let you guys know if I pull out ASAP

Welp, tried tuning my guitar and the string popped. I've never changed a string on a guitar before either hehe.

 

Sounds like it's time to learn Scoob! Don't just replace the one string, change all of 'em together... it's probably time for a fresh set. Maybe even take 10 extra minutes and clean your guitar (they sell products just for instruments but Pledge is good for finishes and most fretboards). You'd be surprised how dirty your guitar gets in even a short time.

BUT if you want some good guitar cleaning products, I've always used Dunlop 65 for the body and Guitar Honey for the fretboard. Neither will run you more than 10 bucks individually and will last you foreeeeever
