I've found the more i listen to the album the more the corniness of it goes away. At first i kinda felt the same way you did. Now i cant stop listening to the record and love every bit of it.

Most of the songs I didn't immediately like grew on me. Didn't care for "She's Out of Her Mind" at first, but I loved Matt's verse, so the whole thing drew me in. Didn't like "Sober" but it grew on me, it's a fun little track. I still don't really care much for "Kings of the Weekend" although I do love the instrumental bits following each chorus.

"Left Alone" is probably my favorite. I also love "California" and "Home is Such a Lonely Place."

BREAKING NEWS: Tom DeLonge has come out as a dinosaur a new species he is referring to as the Awesomeasaurus Rex, he also hinted at a possible Jurassic park cameo.

I liked a few songs of theirs, but for the most part they annoyed me.

Yeah, this one definitely does grow on you with repeated listens. I wasn't totally sold the first time, but it's gotten better each listen.

    Hahaha.
It's funny I don't particularly think he has a great voice. It's good. But there's something about it I really really like. It's refreshing to hear. I feel the same about the newer hit the lights singer and Scott Russo Unwritten Law. Not amazing voices but refreshing to hear. Maybe it's the Everyman vibe

I think I've finally crossed over into the majority who think the chorus of "Left Alone" is the best on the album. Finally hit me today and I was trying to figure out why.

I think part of it is Marks harmony melody. You have Matt belting out like he always does which is perfect, but then Mark is underneath with a soft compliment part which would be amazing even if Matt wasn't there.

In this one though, they left him more prominent in the mix (instead of burying the harmony) and the combination gives me chills.

"The unexciting presence of Skiba fails to break up the monotony, as his voice fails to contrast enough to Hoppus’ to serve any purpose but adding further layering. Barker’s famously frenetic stick-work attempts to cut through, but he largely comes off as a child of divorce trying desperately to capture his parents’ attention."

The fuck? Lol fuck off Spin.

Btw they consider "Built This Pool" the highlight of the album...

Trying to get clicks by pretending Travis Barker isn't one of the greatest drummers alive right now.

Them saying anything bad about Travis' drumming instantly invalidates anything else they have to say in my opinion. He's easily, and objectively, one of the best drummers working in any genre, and certainly in this genre. Like, there's no contesting it.

Sounds like the writer is a Tom diehard if he calls Skiba's presence "unexciting." What a joke.
