  1. You have to go to “see all albums” because it has the same release date as the original version.

Morning Calls is my favorite song off A Mark and it’s so much better acoustic. Sounds like something off his earlier stuff

  3. i am confused why he did alter the ending. wasn’t the whole concept of it being called alter the ending that he had two versions from the start?

These are cool, but I don't think I'll feel the need to listen to them again. These albums are perfect as is, for me.

  5. i think i’ll return to a few tracks here and there but i agree that they’re just kinda fun for today

the production on the original dusk and summer kinda makes the album for me tbh

It’s an album that sounds like summer! You need the sheen and the hugeness of it for a lot of those songs to work. I do think Vindicated should have been on the record though.

  7. well now we know where he would have put it!

what i want from him is to hear that album that he trashed before dusk

Wish I could get into Dusk as much as other people but it's one of those albums I can't get into at all no matter how many chances I give it

I think it's just aged, doesnt sound like the originals but it sounds good to my ear. Pitch is there, the delivery is slightly different but its been like 15 years so that happens.

  13. Maybe I was being too quick to judge. It was also almost midnight when I turned it on lastnight. I'll give these a proper listen this weekend. I never got into any of these 3 albums besides a small handful of songs because they were such a departure from the first 2 albums. So it sounds like these might be closer to those first 2, so I'm kinda excited to really dig in and see if my opinions on these albums change.

Dusk and Summer came out the day before my 16th birthday. Something about that time makes the music stick with you. So that is like THE Dashboard album to me. This acoustic today is really great in my opinion

i’ve been meaning to tell you

Vindicated was amazing. When he's actually shrieking out "I am FLAWED!" I thought I was gonna crash my car.

crying at my desk all day listening to dusk and summer, he nailed the ending perfectly.

  19. Have all of you seen this before? A bandcamp page of a bunch of full show recordings from their 2009 tour.

I adore A Mark... as a full band record so this new release doesn't do anything for me.

Dusk and Summer, on the other hand, is awesome and definitely something I will revisit often.

  22. I prefer the official acoustic Alter the Ending and this version kinda confuses me. Much rather woulda had a different version of Crooked Shadows ... to see if that could help the songs.

Haven't listened to these yet, but AMAMABAS is my favorite and Alter the Ending is possibly my second fav, I don't think that stripping them back would make them better. Would love to hear a stripped back Crooked Shadows though

I didn't even want to finish every song my one listen of Crooked Shadows, an acoustic of that only could've helped
