I’d say Metal Gear Solid. Excluding Survive, there’s few franchises that are as beloved and held in high regard like that one is. Plus, Kojima is practically a demigod in gaming

 

That's a tough one, idk. My favorites are FF/Persona but best overall in terms of game consistency+greatness...probably Zelda? Maybe still FF? Idk.

I agree that Zelda and Persona are both up there too, but nothing beats Pokémon

 

Yeah unless you want an actual challenge in a video game

 

FF games are hardly a challenge lol

And part of what I love about Pokémon is the competitive play, which I guarantee you'd be terrible at

I still havent beat the FF V final boss its so god damn hard

 

Some FF can be challenging (but a lot of it is grindy more than anything) but yeah FF can't touch competitive Pokemon in terms of challenges

 

Yeah but competing against other human beings in any game can be the most challenging thing in a game....

 

Unless it's me dominating Dustin in NBA 2k that shit was ezzzzzzzzzzzzzz
