The last couple of replies on this thread are so difficult to look at and understand why we as humans are doing this to each other. I just read a piece (CNN) on how Trump created such almost an unprecedented mess with this call. I am too afraid to call it unprecedented also because i don't want to challenge him to outdo his own stupidity at this point. This is so sad and unfair. I really do find myself not able to not ask the question 'What is Politics?' at the dinner table. The historical moment is such that we cannot shy away from asking these important questions to our loved and close ones. I have been conversing and attempting to make my husband and mother in law see why it is not a good idea to even conceive of Trump being elected in 2020. They both voted for him way back and not are ( I think) beginning to see so much trouble with their choice. If others also choose to do better this time, maybe we have hope!
