Anything new thrown in the set? Also do you remember what time they hit the stage??

I haven’t looked at any other shows set lists but based off what I’ve read it seemed pretty typical.

They were supposed to go on at 10:30 but went on at 10:15!

I walked into the hartford show to see him there alone on his phone and everyone just walking by. They should have all been bowing to this man. Such a gem of a brain. A really special human indeed.

Saw AJ giving some love to Valleyheart on his IG story, so just want to make sure to give them a shout out here too in case anyone hasn’t checked their album out. It’s incredible.

This record absolutely deserves a front to back set list show

Their next tour will be excellent for 2 reasons:

    1. They’ll start playing some more tracks off Mother Nature and more people will know it (however besides the Permanent Rain the new songs ... specifically Way Down ... got some of the best reactions).

    2. OR their next tour will be the Reach for the Sun 10 year ... which AJ said last night should be happening.

There was very little excitement from the “suits” about a Mother Nature tour and so they continued pitch to do a 10 year instead.

Then there was intense pressure to wrap up and finish Mother Nature the day before yesterday so it would be available on this current tour.

    So there you go.

    Yikes.

Hearing just all the shit behind the scenes you guys deal with is on one hand refreshing (but at the same time INFURIATING) because as a fan I have no eyes into THAT side of the business. I know in the back of my mind there’s a fucked tug and pull but when you actually hear about it it pisses me off.

It makes me appreciate what goes into an album much more. And when I see that band pouring their friggen soul into these live shows (even if it’s only 80 people in a non-ventilated outdated hall or at 2k person club) it just shows me how much music means to this band.

Last night was incredible and this band and album need to be played endlessly. Again, you guys nailed it.

Just picture this. As we are making the new record it was important to take a break from that and hang and talk about spending the next year revisiting decade old work on tour because that’s where the value is.

“The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side.”

It’s their last record on their current contract with Hopeless. So it was important to help these guys either jump to the next tier... or they are potentially out of a record deal and career. That was my true north and big picture. This record has to count.

I’ll leave you with two inspirational quotes that guided me on this record.

“You’ve just made the biggest mistake of your career” that was told to TDS when they chose me for their record.

    Followed up with
“You can make your record with anyone. It doesn’t matter who makes it.”

No this is going to be the best decision they ever made. And I’ll ensure it will not be possible to create a record like this without me. I let that fuel my fire and inspire me to fight harder.

Anyways enough industry bashing for the day. Point is I’m glad people are upset they aren’t hearing more Mother Nature songs live. Because that means we did our job.

Get a selfie with AJ. Give him a tip and tell him how much the new record means to you. That’s why he’s out there at the table. To interact with and be best friends.

My show was a week ago and I haven't stopped thinking about it. Bought the record and AJ was so nice and so grateful. Love this band.

AJ chilling at the merch table is so cool, admirable, and again helps understand he’s there because this is his life, his passion, his purpose. I was with like 5 people last night and each of us went over one by one to thank him personally. I almost bought a 2nd vinyl just because lol.

You could tell he was truly appreciative of everyone there. In fact my friend told us he wanted to buy a particular shirt but there were no mediums left for the one he wanted. He said AJ offered to take down his info and he’d find a way to get him a medium. My friend grabbed another but still ... just so fucking cool.

My favorite moment of the show was AJ in the crowd singing Infinite. Mid song my friend bought AJ a beer, there was a cheers, he gulped it right down, and then concluded a great show with like 80 fans surrounding him singing their hearts out.

Just saw this pic of the CD on dangerous summer IG. Was the CD cropped incorrectly when made where the surfer and album title didnt make the front?

I've always been a medium fan of this band, didn't really like the last album much, but wow I am completely blown away here. Only halfway into the album and I already can say this is my favorite album from them, even if the second half sucks ha

The venue for tonight's show just posted that it's sold out. Good for them!

Still a pain in the ass for me to get set times. I called to ask and I just got a passive "doors are at 7:30" response.
