I get not wanting to vote for an old white guy but fuckin shit, policy and politics comes first.

Fuck yeah I support Jeremy Lin cause he's Asian and plays basketball.

Fuck no am I gonna support Andrew Yang at all for being Asian and apparently being good at Math.

Lotta folks don't give two shits about the quality of their representation.

 

They don't and they never have in, specifically, modern elections.

(And a lot of people like her, specific, policies better.)

 

I totally understand that. But its the people who are pro-Warren and anti-Bernie which is head scratching.

 

Her primary challenger

 

I don't think he's very 'likable' to a patch of democratic voters. His attacks at Democrats I think turn off a set of primary voters (Iowa specifically). Even voters that may like his politics. (And that goes both ways, there are people that would like Warren's politics but for reasons don't find her likable/or electable or whatever.)

John Kerry 2.0 might have been too kind of a label for him.

 

Simon is not a Sirota fan and that tweet -- to me -- really seemed like it came from him/staffer and not Bernie. But it played into the worst fears of a lot of dems and I'm not surprised at all at the reaction. And right now, I don't see the path to the nomination with a strategy that will rely on turning out a lot of new or non traditional Dem primary voters.

But I'm just couch QB'ing what do I know.

We still got about 7 more Democrats who will announce their candidacy at this point

 

I miss the days where giving a slightly weird bookend to a campaign speech tanked your chances of being nominated.
