About half of the new Priests album contained good political messaging. Not sure what the other half was about.

I still can't figure out if it is a good or bad thing we are getting a new album from him this year. I am grateful to get the hell away from this album cycle, but I also am still bitter and confused over that album that the idea of more songs makes me nervous.

  6. Some of those were very good.

Off the top of my head, other good punk/punk adjacent stuff I've enjoyed recently: Laura Jane Grace, Not on Tour, Bad Cop/Bad Cop, Satanic Surfers, Thousand Oaks, Much the Same, Strung Out, Direct Hit, PUP, Abjects, The Coathangers, Greyhaven, Institute, Queen Zee.

There's a dance-punk (if that's your thing) band from Chicago named Arthhur that I caught live recently. Looked em up and their album 'Lost in the Walled City' is really great and very political.

  12. I don't think Bernie's strategy of going after Warren is going to work. I think it's going to bring up a lot of the animosity from 2016 that a lot of primary voters have. And in a race this big, I don't think he'll carry enough votes.

Apparently there’s a hearing going on right now about history and Coates is testifying and interacting with people like Louie gohnert

  19. Maybe, but I worry about all new bands being able to have sustained careers like some of the ones still around.

  22. Agree with Weigel.

I don't know if this new messaging is coming from Sirota and they're panicking about the polls ... but it feels like that ... and I think it's a horrible idea that's going to backfire quickly.

  23. These answers, lol. Beto's is actually good:

Beto: “I don’t know that anybody deserves to have a billion dollars.”

Booker: “I’m bothered when people don’t understand that they have an obligation to use their best measure of devotion, of resources, to sacrifice for the common good.” thanks, cory

Killibrand: "I think no, no one deserves to have a billion dollars."

Hickenlooper: “I think that people in this country have always had the aspirational values to make a billion dollars.”

Harris: “If they earn it and work hard for it, sure.”
