His verse on the Cordae song is great, got my hopes back up

 

It's funny to me that so many people are down on Coloring Book, because it is one of the few post-2010 album aside from My Krazy Life for which I actually agreed with the superlatives that were being thrown around. It’s an amazing album.

 

Surf and CB are great

 

coloring book sounds like a collection of demos that never got mixed or had the track list figured out

Yeah except for maybe the existence of mixtapes that sequencing is perfect

 

Yeah I'm not big on CB but that just ain't true

 

Coloring book is so good and has some of his best. Summer friends and juke jam are two of my favorites from him ever and No Problem is such a great single. Whole project is really neat and showed that he could really expand his sound into a poppier direction while staying creative.

 

Holy shit I deleted Mixtape like after two listens and legitimately forgot that song existed

 

I like mixtape..

 

Yeah I like Mixtape but it does stick out like a sore thumb

 

Mixtape after same drugs is definitely a weird choice, even if it didn’t really fit anywhere else either.

 

It’s fine, just shouldn’t have been on that album

 

Mixtape is maybe worse than Groceries

 

Mixtape is at least memorable

 

which is not a positive attribute in this case haha. I can name you plenty of things that are horrible and memorable

 

I would rather take something that sucks and is memorable over something that I have trouble recalling five minutes after I listen to it

 

I mean, I don't want to take either lol.

 

But mixtape is good

Why the hell would you willingly remove a Young Thug verse from an album


Actually though Coloring Book is really good other than the over-abundance of gospel stuff imo. It's just no Acid Rap, but I'm rapidly starting to believe that was his peak, when for years I thought it was just the start for him. Really want this album to prove me wrong

 

mixtape is def not bad

 

Nothing against you because I know your taste well enough I think and don’t think this is coming from a bad plade, but in general this fairly common take literally makes me want to pull my hair out and take away people’s rap listening privileges

 

I love Chance’s verse in Mixtape
