Adam Brody is quietly starting to pop up more frequently. As an OC fan, I’m happy to see it.

Gonna do a double feature of Child's Play and Toy Story 4, with a brewery visit in between, on Sunday.

I really loved when Brody turned into more Thriller/Horror films. Always fun to watch on screen, even if he never leads a movie.

Also I completely forgot that so many movies were happening this month like Dead Don't Die, Child's Play, Annabelle 3, and even others outside of horror like Shaft, Toy Story 4, and something else i've already forgotten since realizing I forgot.

Watched Frightmare last night, wasn’t a fan. Watching Just Before Dawn right now, this is more up my alley.

I really, really need to play catch-up with The Conjuring series. I've only seen the original and enjoyed it.

The Annabelle Comes Home trailer before Pet Sematary really freaked me out.

Conjuring 1 and 2 and Annabelle Creation are all good. The rest are either ok or bad.

If Annabelle Comes Home is good then that'll be 4/7 so far that are good, and I guess that's more than a lot of horror franchises lol

yeah those three are definitely my top. I liked La Llorona, wasn't great, but enjoyable. The Nun isn't good, but how can you not at least have a good time with a blockbuster boss fight that ends with a nun spitting the blood of Christ into a demon's face haha. and I haven't seen the first Annabelle.

First Annabelle is so boring, you're not missing much. La Llorona is the best of these 3 but wasn't great either. I actually thought The Nun was ok when I saw it in the cinema, then I watched it again a few weeks ago out of boredom and thought it was really bad lol.

yeah I can see that being the case. I feel like it was a fun day out at the theatre kind of flick haha, but that I'm good otherwise haha. though i can see myself doing an entire Conjuringverse rewatch leading up to Conjuring 3, because why not haha

oh! so i continued my watch the Friday the 13th series last night. as stated previously, i enjoyed Friday the 13th more this time around than the first watch, but still not my favorite in slasher horror. everything from there is a first time watch. last night was F13 Part 2, and i thought it was a big step up. cinematography was better, and made more sense in terms of choices made. music was excellent. kills were great. i appreciate the original, but this one got me excited to keep going.

Is there not a thread for Child’s Play? Didn’t see one. Anyway, about to watch it. Have zero ties to the original series so none of my enjoyment will impinge on that.

Embargo on reviews until the day of I believe which is usually not a vote of confidence from a studio.
