    Bahahahahha:

Can I get a refund for my ticket and tshirt please? Your previous tour was clearly not the final one.

Don't get me wrong, losing a band from the scene is awful. I'm gutted that I'll never hear a Funeral for a Friend song live again. I was gutted I wouldn't hear one of yours again. FfaF have shown the fans dignity in saying that their tour was and will forever be their farewell tour, not a cash grab. It was a chance for everyone to say goodbye together. That's what your farewell tour was for me, a chance to say goodbye, in the best way.

Instead, it's now incredibly obvious that the band planned a short few years of hiatus, and this was the easiest method to "fill the coffers" before coming back. I want to be excited you're back, but I've already said goodbye. I think I'll leave it at one goodbye, rather than fall foul of having my emotions toyed with on your subsequent farewell tours.

To any members of the band who genuinely thought this was it, and the band wouldn't be back inside three years, this isn't aimed at you.

Similarly, my bitterness will not affect my fond memories of you, up to and including our last goodbye.”

I wonder if they could put together a b-side album or something like that.Maybe there is a song or two still in that vault.

Pretty sure when they announced they were disbanding they implied it might not be The End. And I mean, it hardly ever is.

One time my friend had a pug he loved so much. His step-mom randomly one day gave it away because she was a truly awful person. He thought he would never see that dog again and came to terms with his goodbye ... and eventually 2 years later was informed it died.

THEN 3.5 YEARS after the initial "goodbye" his Dad learned the dog never died, in fact was still alive and the new owners were giving it away for adoption.

Rather than "coming to terms with his goodbye" he appreciated the fuck out of having another chance to see his dog. Him and his pug named Cody are still best friends today and damn right they reunited and live together again.

Replacing pug and dog with Motion City Soundtrack plays the same and it is absolutely dumb to be mad about this. HELL YEAH CAN'T WAIT FOR THE SHOW!

Looks like email list or buying one of the new shirts are the two ways to get the presale passcode for tomorrow. Balcony seats, here I come.

    Things have changed.

I'm sure the password will be something like COMEBACK

Imagine being so cynical that you can’t even get stoked when one of your favorite bands decides to do another tour bc you “already said goodbye.” Give me a fuckin’ break lol. I’m goddamn pumped to see MCS! Missed the last tour, and even if I hadn’t, why would that be a bad thing?!

I'm tempted to get a shirt, but I want to know how much the tickets are because Ticketmaster fees can be absurd.

I kind of get it for something like LCD Soundsystems last show where they made it a spectacle and had one huge final show that a ton of fans traveled to. But MCS did a cross cross across the country (if not the world) so it’s not like it was a big undertaking for fans to come out to those shows. And as I said before, even if someone traveled for the final show, it’s hard to imagine that someone who’s a big enough fan to make that trip is disappointed because a) that show was special in its own right and b) a band they love is back now!

I’d have to assume anyone complaining is someone who wasn’t going out to their shows until they slapped the farewell tour on it.

Imagine being sad a band you liked is back touring again, even if for just a brief spell, even though they may not release music again.

I get farewell shows are special and emotional and bands returning afterwards makes it feel a bit different in retrospect, but the prospect of a group of friends getting back together to do what they love is pretty bloody cool if you ask me.

I see both sides. I'm thrilled they're back and it's dumb to get legit angry about it but I get the sentiment of feeling like it's lame to go on a long farewell tour, bill it as such, sell merch that specifically says its from the final shows, etc. and then "reunite" in less time than some bands take between albums.

Again, not complaining, just saying I see both sides, but I'm firmly on the "WELCOME BACK" side.

With Anberlin it kinda bothered me a little more because I feel like Christian straight up said in an interview, "Anberlin will never get back together" almost verbatim and they were back together like less than four years after the break up lol.

May I vote we switch focus from the detractors and talk about how exciting it is that MOTION CITY SOUNDTRACK IS BACK

I traveled to Hawaii to see one of Yellowcard’s final US shows, and if they ever decided to do it again... I would too. I understand one could feel ripped off in a sense, but the fact of the matter is a band of friends decided to get back together to play around the country FOR YOU!

It’s your own decision to drop that kind of money traveling for a “farewell” show, and let’s be happy that the world doesn’t always work that way. It’s one thing to be mad at KISS or Cher for constantly billing tours as their last, but I feel like what we’ve seen with Anberlin & MCS is awesome bc I didn’t think I’d get the chance to see them again.
