Brand New will be hitting a full US tour with support from The Front Bottoms and Modern Baseball in the fall.

 

Well you'll see come October time then.

Then I'll assume we'll have an album before that. Timeline makes sense, I suppose.

Brand New with TFB and MOBO would sell out a lot of big places, I can definitely see it.

 

I really doubt that they would do a big US tour immediately following a big US tour

I hope I didn't come across as supper negative. Like I didn't articulate myself well. I thought I was "over" these guys and how they handle themselves, but seeing them again on Tuesday made me realize I don't think I'll ever be over them. Their music has been such an integral part of my life since 2001 that I think they will always be my favorite band.

I also didn't mean to suggest that they don't like each other. We know some stuff happened a few years ago when they cancelled the European tour, we don't know what happened. But they for sure seem to have moved on from it and are all still friends. I just think they are kind of at the point where they don't terribly enjoy being Brand New a whole lot if that makes sense. Like I think they all have other interests and stuff they would rather be doing.

I get it. They have been doing this for a while and have had an insane fan base throwing an unreasonable amount of pressure on them. That would suck anybody dry I think.

And about the set list... Do I wish they threw in some of the demos? Or maybe Noro and Daisy? Heck ya. But even with the supposedly "stale" set its still a great show. I absolutely love everyone of those songs, it doesn't matter how many times I've seen them live I still love seeing them again.

To sum it up, I hope nothing I said came across as entitled, grumpy or that I am done with this band. I love them, that show Tuesday was almost like a religious experience for me, especially with Limousine closing it out as that's my all time favorite song, because even though people think they are messing with them for some reason, the end is coming.

Indeed it is. I don't mean to tell you how to feel, but it seems weird to be appalled at Brand New's crypticness when they've literally built a career using it as a marketing tool.

If Brand New released their album it is 100 percent normal and almost expected they would tour a lot to support it. I don't see what is so unbelievable about a full fall or winter US tour IF they release an album. If they don't then of course it'd make no sense.

 

What is cryptic at all in saying we're breaking up in two years and will release one more album before then. It's pretty cut and dry really and people are reading far too much into it. There's nothing to be annoyed at the band for.

Because they are doing a full US tour right now. It would make way more sense to tour again next year. I would be more likely to believe they'll head to Europe in the fall.

 

I've heard similar things tour-wise.

 

Having never seen brand new live before, I am incredibly excited with their most recent set list in CO. Awesome selection and I can't wait to see them on the 15th.

 

Again with the setlist, I've seen them 16 times over the years and I would still be thrilled to see them play 8 songs from TDAG and five of the best from Deja any time I see them.

 

They announced their current tour five months in advance which I think is a reasonable amount of time. Five months from now is the end of November so if that tour is real then I imagine an announcement is coming very soon
