At it's very core, the Xbox has always been about getting more people into the Microsoft eco system. Whatever they do next with the brand will be about that too.

 

I am interested to see how many preorders of the new Elite controller are out there. Something incredible just got even better.

 

If the things they’re saying work out, Microsoft’s approach to streaming games does sound better than Stadia

 

I downloaded Games Pass on my Surface Pro last night. Excited to check it out.

 

Can't wait for Nintendo today to add to the evergrowing list of games I need this/next year.

 

I don’t own a gaming pc so unless they publish these very valuable exclusives on other consoles, I won’t be able to play them without an Xbox

 

If they put them on their streaming service, your non-gaming computer might do the trick. Or your current Xbox (if you have one). Or, dare I say, your Switch.

 

Stadia uses 1TB of data in 65 hours when 4K, I don't think internet providers are ready for this lol

 

4K is such a buzzword, I'm happy when something that plays games that isn't a monstrous gaming PC actually pulls of a consistent 1080p/60

 

I know quite a few people with non gaming PC’s that have no issues with streaming. I’m interested to see how well it does on the Switch.

 

Yeah, I mean in non-streaming situations. Even on the One X too optimized many games don't actually handle 1080/60 all that well.

 

So FFVII Remake is on two discs, but did they confirm both come out in March? Is it still going to be episodic?

 

The optimized games on the ONE X look fantastic.

 

Listening to the FF soundtrack stuff on Spotify on the way to work. Nothing touches the FF VI soundtrack, it's the superior one. @me motherfucker I dare you.

It wasn't totally clear but it sounds like there's going to be two games, one set entirely in Midgar and one that has everything else. I think only the first one is coming in March.

 

The FF7 Remake footage was, literally, exactly what I wanted out of an ARPG version of FF7. Like, once it was determined that was the direction they were going to take, this is pretty much the dream for how it would be. Very, very hyped for it.

 

I'm watching the SE conference now and the FFVII combat system is GREAT holy shit

 

I thought they said that each part of the 2 parts will be a blu ray disc amount of content. Then I had a friend say to me he heard them say the first PART will have 2 discs worth of content. I think he heard wrong though.

Same. I didn't hate FFXV's battle system, but after 50 hours I still never feel like I "got it." This, just from watching, makes so much sense to me. Looks like I'm buying a ps4.

 

Yeah my big fear with FF7 remake was that it was gonna be "hold square to do everything" again with limited party member switching

 

Yeah, I mean a simple addition like ATB bars makes a huge difference though. For whatever reason.

 

Also if this is many discs they need to do a limited edition version that's like the old PS1 FF cases
