Bit aside, this is only the latest bit of evidence supporting my point about the E3 a year before a new generation begins is always not great and it would be better for most companies to do what Sony did and not have a presser at all instead of wasting everyone's time vamping with a six-minute musical number featuring music from a franchise that isn't even launching a new game this year.

 

Are there really big enough AC stans who would go see a live concert just for Assassins creed?

Feel like it would definitely work for Zelda but not sure any other franchise could sustain that...

 

I just want stage demos narrated by the devs. Those were the best.

Well, here comes to Watch Dogs.

Like I said the other day, I'd be totally fine with Microsoft, Bethesda, EA, Ubi, Square Enix, Sony, and Nintendo just agreeing to all drop direct presentations on the second Sunday-Tuesday of June every year instead of doing this. It's just not necessary anymore.

Okay, spoke too soon haha. But each of these characters featured have been just as bad haha. I agree with the above, I'd still like a central character of some sort in it.

 

If there isn't a "lead character" to latch onto I can't see any reason why I'd ever get emotionally invested in the plot of this game. If there isn't, then they're really risking a lot just to have a bullet point on the back of the box, and I don't know if the tradeoff will be worth it.

I will buy this game though, I enjoyed wd2 a lot (and didn’t hate wd1). Plus I’m a sucker for a game set in the UK (regardless of some of the stupid accents).

I do agree with everyone else in here though in that I hope there’s a lead character.
