I remember going to Tower Records on Fridays in the city with my Dad. It was something I always looked forward to. I remember when them and FYE had a Ticketmaster and I could always buy my tickets at those places.

 

It's not that big. I use mine as my TV stand too so it serves dual purpose lol.

 

This is what I use for my vinyl! I lay it down horizontal not vertical though and have my record player/speakers on top.

 

All this talk about CDs made me realize this morning that my new car doesn't even have a cd player. It's a 2019......I guess they're phasing that out of new cars.

 

Ah then I’ll have to look into it. Right now I use a combination of a record stand that has a storage shelf under it and this:

Its funny. I think i'll always prefer a CD player and aux port for my bluetooth. Something about those touch screens just get to me. I think they also look outdated after 2-3 years. I get the safety behind having a screen and its features, but I still never use it when I drive a car with one.

 

Same...and my touch screen doesn't display the album art anymore while I'm in drive, which infuriates me. Only displays the album artwork while I'm in park, which makes zero sense.

You’re referring to The Sound Garden, which is my go-to place for Blu-rays and records. They’ve always been known for putting out albums and movies a week or two before street date

 

The Exclusive Co in Milwaukee will also sell albums early. I drove up there from Chicago to buy Neighborhoods a few days early in 2011 haha.

Speaking about CDs. How many of you own all versions of TOYPAJ? I mean the red, green and yellow versions that all have two bonus tracks each. I collect CDs, but I have a thumb of rule that I never buy two of the same record unless I have to. If the bonus songs can be found on a single or EP, I usually buy those instead of different versions of each album. I own 1 copy of TOYPAJ, and it's a UK limited edition with 3 out of the 6 bonus tracks. The last 3 I have on an Italian promo EP thing called "Your First Date with blink-182", haha.

 

I only ever got the green version... And I will have my original copy. It's dirty, banged up, and beautiful.

 

Yeah I only have the green version too. I wish I got the other two but being a somewhat broke teenager I didn't think spending $30 extra dollars on 4 extra tracks was worth it when I could "borrow" those tracks from elsewhere.

 

So, I saw New Found Glory on Friday night and I decided to go up front for the first time in forever and boy did I regret it ha. My body can't handle it anymore.

 

Yeah, when I want to be up close for a show, I go to one side of the stage and get within the first 10 or so rows of people. You're close and it's not as bananas as in the center, haha.

 

MY TOYPAJ is yellow. If you treat the bonus tracks as a story telling sequence then What went wrong followed by Fuck a dog is pretty funny.

 

Only way I get close is if there’s seats or a barrier at front stage to lean on. Otherwise my legs are killing the next day

 

So true ! It's funny because when Real Friends came on it was actually crazier than it was for NFG, but than I realized the crowd for Real Friends is very younger and they all left when they were finished.

 

Also, anyone here that are still debating on doing the Philly/Camden show in September BB&T center are doing 25 dollar lawn tickets through Sunday.
