I’ve read so many of these types of articles about the 09 draft but none as comprehensive or in-depth as this. It’s amazing the extent to which humans can be irrational thinkers. Comparing Trout to previous northeast picks that busted solely for being from the northeast? What kind of garbage is that?

I remember hearing about the scout having to temper the scouting report to not be laughed at for pegging Trout as a future hall of famer. That story came out early into his career. And it makes sense, that’s a ridiculous expectation or guess to have on a 17 year old. But it’s true! Trout is better than so many hall of famers and he’ll pass many more still this season!
