The things that people complained about when Tom was in the band outweigh the complaints since he left (for the umpteenth time.) People definitely forget.

PS: I've never said "umpteenth" before, and I'm surprised I spelled it correctly/it's an actual word.

 

I think it's safe to assume plenty of people, myself included, miss the idea of Tom being in the band. That's where the nostalgia and maybe some of the best memories of this band are, for a decent percentage of us at least. But come on people. That version won't be back. I wasted too many years of my life wishing blink would sound like Untitled again. On top of that, it's abundantly clear by pretty much any indication that the current iteration of the band is doing incredibly well and that California was a major success. Commercially and critically. I'm never, ever, ever, going to use Facebook comments as a way of determining the sane and informed opinion on something. No one should. That's stupid.

 

That being said, what's up with those ticket sales? Haha

Haha I meant it to read that way, but I understand how stupid it looks.

 

Honestly hoping they cancel the first few weeks of the tour at least at this point. There's no way I'm going to be able to sell my extra ticket for what I paid for it. If I get really desperate perhaps I'll offer it to someone on here for a reduced price to make some of my money back.

Also - just curious if they did decide to cancel the tour or a leg of the tour, is it the promoter's decision ultimately? Or some combination of the artists, promoter and label people making the decision?

Guys it has a good chance to go platinum. That still means 300 million + people in the US didn't buy it therefore hated it. That motherfucker bombed HARD accept it!

 

I've been re-visiting most of the band's discography over the past few weeks as one of my friends is marrying a girl who hadn't listened to blink before, other than the singles. She started listening recently with him and got hooked so he had me burn the albums to CDs for her since she prefers that medium in her car? (Don't ask me). But it's been a good time listening to their reactions going through all the things I went through 15+ years ago with the endless exploration of all the MTV appearances and specials. Made me remember watching the Album Launch special on repeat over the years. That was probably my favorite. Urethra Chronicles II is up there as well.

What's everyone's favorite blink tv appearance or special?

Let's rank the Tour's venues from 'looks a little sold' to 'hey, is anyone coming to this show?'

 

It's weird listening to TOYPAJ when you take out "First Date" and "The Rock Show" so it's (more or less) the way it was initially intended.

 

I wonder if those two songs weren't included if that meant the 3 non joke bonus songs would have made the album instead. Interesting to think about. Wonder what would have been the 1st single, Anthem Part Two maybe? I can't see them leading with STFTK.
