I could be wrong, but I do get the vibe that for Rap fans (or fans of more "mainstream" music styles) going to concerts is less important than it is for for rock fans, because the scene in general is just more passionate and die-hard, because they kind of have to be.

I could be wrong, rap could have more die-hard, concertgoing fans, but those types of fans comprise the majority of the rock scene it seems.

Or they could have just priced the shows reasonably.

They LITERALLY sold out amphitheaters and arenas or close to selling out on a lot of their 2016 shows. Jfc

    This is the issue.

    Not Lil Wayne
    Not Blink-182 not having Tom
Not either act being ‘shadows of their former selves’

It’s the pricing, point blank. No argument. Every bit of evidence disproves any other argument

    No pit sections available initially.
    Overcharging.
Charging the same price in the 100s-300s section ($127.50 + fees).
EOTS in full not being apart of the initial announce.

Any/all of these are valid reasons for low sales. Doesn't mean people don't care about the band!

Wow just looked at the availability for the Boston (Mansfield) Venue and my mouth fell open... maybe 10% sold in pavilion?!

This is the first time in however long where a tour of theirs hasn't sold super well, that I can recall. They're definitely still popular enough to do it, but maybe just this particular tour package isn't exciting enough for the general fan base to spend double the price they usually do to see Blink who typically has a better lineup. Who knows. All I know is that for me personally, the pricetag to see only one band I like just isn't going to happen, and I haven't missed a Blink show since 2001.

Yeah, but it's not 2016 anymore and the original hype from them returning is not there anymore.

  10. I'll be curious to see photos/final numbers for the shows when they actually happen too.

lol as I'm looking at the "Portland" date ... this pops up:

Real talk, I’ll never skip a blink show in my town. I just won’t do it.

  12. That would be my guess. $127 each for tickets way in the back at the "Portland" venue is silly.

Blink has also been pretty easy to see over the years and for casual fans there isn’t much reason to see them on multiple tours

I'm still in disbelief at the 3EB/JEW tour price points. Even more in disbelief that it actually seems to be selling decently (at least in Cleveland).

  17. People also are lazy and buy tickets later/look for sales. I bet the venues are more full then they appear right now once the shows happen. Just a hunch.

This is logic and reason. Get that out of here. It’s clearly the fault of Lil Wayne and Blink not having Tom

Not unless I come across some cheaper tickets. Not a fan of 3EB whatsoever and am not spending $109 + fees to see JEW as an opener.

  21. For GA tickets to see 3EB/JEW: $67
For GA tickets to see Blink/Lil Wayne at the same venue: $127

    Get outta here, hahaha

    Is that GA pit prices?

  23. And hopefully they lower the damn prices too. Cause yeessh.

They should charge like Train/Goo Goo dolls ... heh, move those far back seats faster. Those look to range from 90-40 as you go backward ... Blink's charging 127 for all of them from what I could see rn.

    Cleveland shows:

    Blink pit: $127
    3EB/JEW pit: $109.50

EDIT: Also, Blink/Lil Wayne are WAY more popular than 3EB and JEW.
