Nails at the Empty Bottle was fun last night. Probably the only time I'll ever see two dudes in a wonder years and a leviathan shirt hardcore dancing next to each other.

 

Going to BN/MM next weekend...never been to FirstMerit before...We have seats right behind the pit...Is that pretty far away or is the pit area pretty small?

 

You're in a decent position. Pit is about the size you'd expect from an amphitheater like that. They also had viewing screens up during the one concert I went there a couple years ago for

 

Going to Foster Beach to watch the fireworks tonight. Anyone else?

 

Wife and I sat on our balcony with coffee and got see the sky lit up like crazy. People went nuts around us with fireworks.

Wish I wasn't gonna be out of town this weekend. So many rad free-ish shows going on. Decemberists, Craig Finn, Billy Idol... I need to quit telling my friends I want to hang out and meet their fucking babies.

 

Is Chance playing his own set? I assumed he would just be playing with Donnie Trumpet.

yeah i saw they are, im actually going to p4k that day to see sufjan so i feel like getting tickets at the door will be a long shot.

 

i booked him back in early 2015 to play a show to 35 people at the radio station who were mostly there to see a station band play their last show, haha. i've told this story a billion times but the "hey guys, this is car seat headrest" from the beginning of the record is actually my friend introducing him on the radio from that show, hah. he emailed me asking if he could use that clip, and we never thought he'd actually use it.

yeah, no clue if we'd get in from sufjan, but we're going to try

 

I'm a little tempted to buy a Sunday ticket to see Kamasi Washington and The Hotelier, but I probably don't need to go to festivals three weekends in a row.
