Of sugar and ice I am made

Blood Mountain was the album where I really got into them. I agree that it's a good middle ground between where they had been, and where they went to after that. While I don't dislike the last few albums, I haven't found myself returning them them much after release. Leviathan, Blood Mountain, and Crack the Skye are the releases I find myself playing the most.

Pretty good local stuff from my neck of the woods that's opening up a Ringworm show around here next month. They're impressively good if you like straightforward thrashy death metal ala Revocation.

don’t know why I had never listened to Amebix’s Sonic Mass album until today - very different to Arise! but still v cool

This album made me feel like I should be smoking weed in a basement.

Also, my 3-year old daughter was grooving to it last weekend so . . . father of the year?

I forget who does the awesome thrash Thursday posts (sorry!) but if you read this, I think you’d like this record - it’s filthy

That used to be me, then I stopped working from home :uhoh:

But the thrash still lives on in our hearts. Good album btw.

Also the new Krypts is out on Dark Descent today, for all your murky cavernous death needs:

I dug Harmonicraft, but finally listening to Restarter by Torche. It bangs quite hard. Excited for new stuff.

That within blood Ill tempered is like...top 3 personal favorite metal album of all time. Man, I used to have the entire lyrics to given flight by demons wings as my Myspace profile lol. So edgy.

Stopped by a record store today, and while looking in what looked like a forgotten corner with a bunch of overstock I found a pile of mint condition first press Slayer records. Everything up until Divine Intervention. I was floored. They weren’t for sale though :(

That Beherit album is equal parts crushing and ritualistic. Quite a few new bands are jocking their sound quite well namely Perverted Ceremony.

I’ll give them a try but in my experience no
other band manages to even approximate what Beherit does in any of their recordings - there is nothing out there with this monumental black spirit

TOoBB is primitive destruction by fire & blood & vomit

DDtM sounds (feels) like you’re floating in space & Satan is possessing yr soul

    Engram is crushing hate
