That's what I'm planning to do, as long as there's no huge bugs.

They’re supposed to be combining find my friends and find my iPhone into one app, so that makes sense.

I've been wrong in the past. I've been wrong a lot.
But there is no way in hell that blue-green abomination is a final icon.

This would certainly indicate that iTunes will cease to exist moving forward, no?

  12. yeah you'd assume that iTunes is being broken down into those two apps and the channels app

No. iTunes will be around to manage your device for those that need it.
Also, Podcasts apparently, unless that’s another app we haven’t seen yet.

The Podcasts app icon for Mac was already leaked in earlier images. And device syncing could be done via the individual apps surely.

stuff like Backing up, managing Photos and transferring data to individual apps (VLC) ... I don't know where I'd relegate that to personally.
    And don't forget Windows.

Crazy/fun "FindMyIPhone" story I had last weel

So I work in downtown Minneapolis for a SaaS company, and we're located on the 10th floor of our building. On Wednesday last week at 10:30am I went to help a coworker with an issue, then at 11am some of us went down to our lobby, as some dog adoption agency had brought a bunch of puppies for anybody to hold/chill with, haha. Was there for about 20 minutes before heading back up to my floor (which happens to be the main floor, where our "front desk" is located, along with our management. When I got back to my desk, I noticed my phone was gone. I thought backwards to where I'd been; didn't bring the phone with me to our bottom floor, and upon checking my coworker's desk, I didn't see it there either. Back to my desk, checked everything - gone. Came to the conclusion it must have been stolen, so I went to our front desk and let the front desk person know I thought my phone had been stolen. She then tells me a woman stopped by earlier saying her purse had been stolen too, so she then came to the conclusion something serious was up, so called security downstairs. She said they would call 911 and report the stolen items, so I went back to my desk to hear back. Coworker then suggested to use his iPhone to log into Find My iPhone; upon first try, realized I didn't know my f****** Apple password, so I tried retrieving it, but you can't simply have the reset/retrieve thing sent to your email; forced me to use another phone/number, but I couldn't figure it out initially, as it kept me going in a loop; eventually after like 15 minutes I tried what I thought was an old password and it worked. It then tracked the phone to two blocks from my building. Front desk person then said security wanted me downstairs, so I went downstairs and showed them on the phone I had where exactly the woman was. They mentioned they started looking through security footage, and found the woman who stole my phone and the purse. She had been wearing some grey hoodie, grey cap, and baggy jeans; got onto our floor, looked straight into the camera (Grade F thief), tried opening a locked door, and then pressed some emergency button we have that opens the door to our floor. She must have quickly randomly picked my row, and then my cubicle, stole my phone, walked around the floor a bit, stole this woman's purse, then walked back out to the elevator and then down to the main floor and then outside.

So security said they requested the cops to come to our building, but that it could take a couple hours for them to get there. So I went up to my desk again, and just chilled and tracked the woman with my phone; she must have got on a bus, as it went west through our downtown, and then south out of downtown. She then stopped in this certain intersection of streets, and upon zooming in I found she stopped at some bazar, and upon Googling the name we found it was a phone provider shop. So some employees of mine thought she was probably trying to sell the phone; I decide to call the store, and upon explaining to the person on the other line that a woman there had a stolen phone of mine, and she looked like x and x, she was like "So?....what do you want me to do?" in a thick accent, so I just said f*** it and hung up. Went back down to security to let them know that the woman wasn't leaving this area/store, so they called 911 back and let them know what the woman looked like and where exactly she was; responder said they'd relay that info to cops in the area, and probably half an hour later cops eventually did come to the security desk, and they let us know they easily found the woman and arrested her; apparently had several phones on her, and they ID'd my phone too, which was great. They didn't find the purse on her (which had the woman's ID, social security card ((who carries that with them???), $300 in cash, and like 11 credit cards, all of which this employee had to cancel). So the cops grabbed all the info from us they could, and let us know they were already bringing her downtown to the city jail. I still had the app open on my friend's phone, so I tracked the phone as it made it's way back downtown, haha. Then after like 20 minutes found the phone coming back towards my building, so I was able to meet the cop as he came to the security desk, my phone in hand, haha. Telling them how I tracked the thief in real time with my phone, even they thought that was kind of cool.

So yeah, pretty intense/strange day, but it was great to get my phone back. I had everything backed up to iCloud, so I wasn't really that worried if I had truly lost it, and it's a 6S Plus, but still.

The missus is thinking of getting an iPad Pro for graphic design, I’m just wondering if there has been any rumours of a new model coming out this year that will be far superior to last years model? Has anyone on here got the 2018 12 inch model?

    Die rad.

Im so confused on the iTunes thing especially since Ive never used Apple Music. I have Tidal for my stereo and android, but iTunes on my 120 gig iPod and MacBook. If iTunes is done does that mean my 1000+ cds Ive ripped over the last decade and a half will be gone off my computer?!?! I will be so bummed cause I prefer that over streaming. I don't want to add 400+ artists to my tidal.

I’d assume the Apple Music app will function just like iTunes as far as personal music storage

iPad upgrades are a tad too erratic to predict but it seems you should be fine this year.

Thanks for the reply! Yeah looking around rumours have been nonexistent which leads me to believe it will be more specs over hardware this year? Apple don’t tend to update the hardware two years in a row but you never know!
