I have to say I came in here for some news on the new album and instead found lots of Swifty gifs... not disappointed!

TV Review: History’s ‘Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation’

The introduction of Tom DeLonge, former Blink-182 rocker and current UFO theorist, saps a bit of the savvy viewer’s excitement. After quitting the touring life, DeLonge says, “the only other thing I was ever interested in was UFOs”: He’s become a remarkably prolific hobbyist, but his presence on the show as a talking head and player in the field of UFO theory is vastly less compelling than pilots telling us what they’d experienced.

I think he’s referring to walkmans scratching CDs beyond playing but you’d have to play it more than once for it to happen

Wow interesting take in the comments on that stereogum piece (which was really good)

"The most wrong I have ever been was seeing they were going with a Tom led Blink song as a single, and thinking the MTV crowd is gonna hear his weird nasally voice for 4 seconds and never want to hear the band again."

    Die rad.

I'm referring to walkmans only playing cassettes and not CDs. You would need to put a CD in a discman.

  9. Nah, Sony used the same branding for their CD players around 2000. I had one.

  10. The Discman was Sony's first portable CD player, the D-5 (North America and various other countries)/D-50, which was the first on the market in 1984,[1] and adopted for Sony's entire portable compact disc player line. The name was changed to CD Walkman worldwide in 2000 along with a redesigned "Walkman".

    Yep.

All of my CD players around that time were definitely branded Walkman.

I was just up in my attic looking for my first Enema CD with the red cross and no PA label (I played it so much it ended up so scratched up it stops playing after ATST) I found my Dookie cassette tape that I got in 1994. I completely forgot I still had it. I also found an unopened MTTS CD, as my first CD broke when I dropped my discman and I was in a panic trying to find one since at the time they were limited, one of my friends who worked at Circuit City got one for me while I found another copy at I want to say Best Buy the same day. Good memories.

Also you’re not a true blink fan unless you have the cardboard TOYPAJ CD case.

  19. I still have my original green version.

Last weekend I was at an FYE and they had a used copy of a cardboard TOYPAJ so I sneakily took the shrink wrap off just enough to see what color it was, and if it was yellow or red I’d buy it.

    ...it was green.

Not long ago I had to check to see if it's the red cross cover I have (it is and signed by Mark) I bought an extra MTTS back in the day cause I heard they were limited (still sealed cause I managed to keep the first disc working lol) and I have all three bonus track versions of TOYPAJ haha.

  21. That’s so sick there’s some sealed MTTS cds out there. I bought all 3 TOYPAJs at the time and broke the pants like 2x so I have like 6 cardboard cases

I have the cardboard TOYPAJ packaging, but on the inside is a burned CD with all the bonus tracks from all versions, plus a red/yellow/green CD label that I made on my computer and printed via the CD label printer. I'll post a pic if I find it.

If we're talking CDs, my copy of Buddha has Strings as both track 3 and 4 on the back cover. They don't play like that on the CD it just has it written twice. I dunno if it's fake or some jabroni in the amazon warehouse printed it off or something but I assume it's worth millions.
