Ok now that twist was the cuckoo bananas nonsense I wanted from the start.

 

Showing my daughter happy Death day tonight and finally gonna get around to watching the sequel tomorrow.

How does it compare to the original?

 

Tons of fun, but the whodunnit slasher element kinda takes a back seat to the point that when they finally do the reveal I forgot it was a thing. But again, tons of fun

 

Jessica Rothe carries that movie on her back, but it's worth a watch especially if the first one is fresh in your head.

 

Lol, we ended up doing a double feature. Loved every minute of the second one. Won’t ruin anything but it really was a ton of fun.

 

I cannot believe there are two Child’s Play reboots happening in the same year. I don’t think I’ve seen that in the horror genre yet. And neither of which have the OG Chucky voice. Weird times.

 

Child’s Play is garbage. I’ll be outside if you want to throw a punch or two.

Honestly it's not my favorite franchise by a long shot but 3 is the only one that is truly trash in a not fun way imo

 

diminishing returns as the series went on, sure, but Child's Play rules

 

As someone who is going through the Child's Play movies for the first time, I can say that I've at least enjoyed all of them except for 3 and Seed, which were just awful.

 

I'm a bigger child's play fan than most of you, curse and cult are both so good

 

The Blackcoats Daughter was added to Netflix. Wasn’t that a movie peeps here were talking up for a while?

 

Curse was great and I'm excited to watch Cult

 

it's one of the decade's best horror films, for sure

I truly can’t believe that Slasher turned into Room out of nowhere, seemingly playing it totally straight. I wish I could find more in depth reviews for this show.

 

I was warned almost a year ago and completely forgot. That’s the real twist of this series.

 

IRT Child’s Play, idk why but I’ve just always had a hard time suspending belief for that movie. There are so many moments that are obvious idiot plot moments that I just couldn’t enjoy them. I’m pretty sure the only one I ever somewhat enjoyed was Bride and that’s because they were finally switching it up.

I think Brad Dourif doing that voice he does for Chucky in the role of a serial killer thought to be dead would’ve been better. That would’ve scared the fuck out of me. Not some doll I would just immediately punt across the room as it ran at me screaming.
