My exact reaction lol... possibly maybe one of the best songs I’ve ever heard

 

Yeah, war paint is amazing, but I think reach for the sun had a bigger impact (if that makes sense). I really hope this album takes them places. Love it so much.

war paint had a much bigger impact on me personally, album was a once in a lifetime game changer for me

 

Transition at end of Blind Ambition was so dope... I replayed it to make sure it wasn't an error, and then my eyes got wide re-listening because I thought it was so cool

 

Violent Red kinda sounds like a 2019 War Paint song

 

not to be hyperbolic here but this album is literally nothing but classic TDS songs, nothing thats just okay or so-so or even just good, everything reaches great and beyond.

 

These are already some of his best vocal melodies, especially Blind Ambition, Virginia, and Mother Nature

Reading these last few pages convinced me to pre order a vinyl bundle

This is vastly superior to their previous two albums after only one listen. Not even close.

I genuinely never expected this level of evolution from this band. It really does feel like they reinvented themselves, while keeping all the best elements of their previous work.

 

fair to say that's the song no one saw coming. god damn

 

What an album to break the mould, to punch us right in the face with hit after musical hit.

 

You'll never convince me Justin Vernon didn't have a hand in this

 

Mother Nature really does feel like The Graduate. Man, this thing is a fucking journey in the best way possible.
