You’ve broken a guitar at a show so you’re understandably strict about it haha

 

I live in Glen Burnie, been to that Guitar Center a bunch. I thought PRS were made on the Eastern Shore tho

 

I want to be that guy that plays "Sweet Child O' Mine" in guitar centers.

 

I also like guitars that look pretty and cool. I won't play a guitar that don't give me at least +5 in style.

 

Nice! That’s like the only affordable part of central Maryland lol.

They are manufactured eastern shore now, but the founder is from Annapolis.

The crazy thing is, when he started the company, he walked up to huge, famous guitarists who were on tour in DC... candidly asked for 15 minutes of their time to talk about guitars he designed. And then back in the green room he would give them a custom PRS and tell them they could keep the guitar and not even pay him if they didn’t like it.

So ballsy, but it worked. These guitarists loved his designs so much that they ended up buying more on top of the ones he gave them. And that’s how the company got huge, he essentially sponsored renowned professional guitarists back when PRS was a one-man shop, and them playing the guitars live was free advertising lol

I remember being 14 and thinking Marshalls were like the best amps lol

They look cool and give you nice sharp sounding power chords. That’s basically all they do lol.

I bought that stinky marshall when I was 15 because I wanted a "half stack" lmao.

 

Gallagher talks so much shit about Radiohead, and it is so pretentious cause Radiohead has been far and away a better band than Oasis, since they both rose to popularity

I hate musicians that are motivated by envy instead of being supportive of other bands’ success so I am an Oasis hater. Fuck Wonderwall. “Touched a generation” my ass.

Yeah I went from the 30 watt solid-state Marshall combo, to a 50 watt hybrid AVT half stack (tube preamp but solid-state overdrive), to a fully tube JCM900

The 900 sounds good on my old pop punk record from college. But once I got sick of pop-punk and wanted to play more diverse, expressive music I got bored of the Marshall real quick. Those things have ONE speed haha

Now I love Vox and Orange, that tighter, more reflexive British tone. I like how those amps respond to “how you play”, you get more gain by playing harder and can also easily soften up without changing any settings on the amp.

One day maybe I’ll have the money for a Matchless.

Last night some customer said they didn’t want to speak to any manager, they wanted to speak to the head manager. They proceeded to yell at them for 30 minutes. I wondered hmm what could this be about? We’re a movie theater so it can’t possibly be that serious

It was just the customer complaining about reserved seating, which I’ll forever be confused by the negative reaction but my customers are too fucking stupid to know how a simple concept like that works
