Gave this song a little over 10 listens now. I actually enjoy it quite a bit more than on first listen. I'm excited to hear the rest of the album.

 

Definitely some punk influence in that, didn't expect that! I liked John's vocals the most at some points, the song's fine, and the cover art is luckily as good as the last one. The S/T had one of the ugliest artworks ;p can't wait to hear more, cause this doesn't sound like it would carry the general sound of the album, would be weird a bit.

 

Only listening via phone speaker but if you told me this was Gaslight Anthem I would probably believe you. I like it more than anything since El Paso, tho.

 

Haven't been into these guys for awhile now but I'm always intrigued by whatever they put out. Pretty solid song.

 

That artificial ring wear on the album cover is so dumb. Small qualm, but whatever I think it looks stupid.

 

I didn't even notice that. Wow. It kinda bothers me now.

 

Even though im definitely in the "they havent released a bad record, just some bad songs here and there" camp, It's definitely nice to hear then branching out eve more. I get major Gaslight Anthem / Against Me (and yeah, Ramones) vibes from this and I dig it.

Song is fun. I only liked two or three songs on Happiness Is so this is a refreshing change.

Kind of expected this direction. I like it - but I'm not in love with it. Then again I haven't been in love with this band for quite sometime. I still enjoy them though.

 

I've never wanted to see them fail. I've always rooted for these guys but pretty much everything post-Louder Now has bored me. I really liked Flicker Fade when it was released but when I listened to Happiness Is, nothing else really stood out. I like this single a lot but I'll still be wary about the album until it comes out

 

I'm right there with you. I've enjoyed each release. Some releases stronger than others for sure but I still enjoy them.

kind of surprised at the positive response for the song. personally i don't like this direction at all, and i didn't think it translated well live either. hoping the rest of the record is a little more catchy.

There was a bit of confusion about that line, and I'm 99.9% sure it's 'embrace chaos.'
