These guys need to go out and make friends

 

So that viral video last week with the cop playing basketball and absolutely wrecking the kid he was playing...that’s probably the only good cop I know. Played football with him in high school. He was on his way to being a teacher but ended up going to the city PD specifically to work in the troubled communities to build relationships and try to help them. He’s the type to rat out bad behavior from his fellow officers if he sees it, he won’t put up with the excessive force bs.

The kid in the video is one of my students. He’s pretty much completely checked out from school and kind of an asshole, but has had a ridiculous amount of trauma in his life that have more or less been the reason for that. We just had a pretty positive IEP meeting last week and the cop just posted a pic of them hanging out together talking on IG and Reggie Bush and a few others commented on it. Pretty wild to see people you know go viral to this extent.

 

My sister went viral. It was eh.

 

Yeah...I mean I’ve seen guys I know in the NFL and shit but it’s still insane to see people you know being talked about on espn and fs1 morning talk shows and being on their twitter feeds and shit. Last thing you expect when you’re scrolling the timeline haha
