oh hahah i've never heard that refereed to as a boiled dinner, usually called a roast dinner or a sunday roast (which i never understood because you wouldn't just have it on a sunday hah) over here

never really liked ham, but a chicken roast sunday dinner is one of the few dishes that make me wish i still ate meat haha

Ohhhh. My mother in law (who’s from Ireland) makes this every year for St. Patrick’s Day and my whole wife’s family goes nuts for it and I never understood it. I’ve never liked boiled meat much and the vegetables are very bland to me

for the record; this is where i'm from. ireland is basically dublin (good) and then a whole lot of shit counties with farms and shit (very bad). they might have corned beef and other things that irish americans like down in one of the shit counties but we don't in dublin haha
