Nats bullpen is definitely better than position players pitching but not by as much as it should be!

Not exact numbers because I'm at work and can't do it more accurately, but position players pitching last year as of 8/15 had a collective ERA of 9.59. I'm assuming it's comparable so far this year.

Nats bullpen has an ERA of 7.02 this year

    Not good!

Yeah, I mean, they fucking BLOW.

Pretty much saw it coming after the horrendous offseason they had.

Having said that, something came across my timeline from 8 years ago...The Indians started off 30-15 that year...Had a 7 game lead on the AL Central then finished under .500 and 15 games out of first place.

Twins are still pretty young and inexperienced so anything can happen...but yeah, the Indians still fucking BLOW.

Definitely still too early for sure, a lot can change. Except for teams like the Nats who have almost certainly dug their own grave. To get to 90 wins, they have to win at .634 clip from here on out, or how a 102 win team plays throughout a full season. Perhaps a wild card spot can be had for 85-86 wins, but even that is really difficult for the Nats as it stands. A season can't be won in April/May, but it can be lost.

Cleveland is definitely still in it. If they get Jose Ramirez looking like his normal self again, anything can happen.

  20. when I die and go to baseball heaven, my only question for the baseball gods will be this: why do the minnesota twins hit so many fucking homers?
