I know quoting youtube comments is the lowest hanging comedy fruit but someone posting "guys this is the shit that needs to be in the music industry right now" is top notch.

 

Somehow I thought about them and went down the rabbit hole on Youtube and all of their stuff is soooooooo bad and awkward.

 

"Rebel Girl" not getting any traction at radio.

 

This made me laugh. First, this sorta stuff is being released by some labels and on bandcamp ... just hardly anyone is buying it. Second, there's a lot of way better stuff being released that flirts around with that genre. The new albums from Charly Bliss and Alex Lahey are two of the more interesting pop-punk-adjacent albums we've had in years.

 

Do you know if it's getting pushed to radio? Feel like I'm phrasing that wrong. But, I know sometimes bands release a song without the intent of sending to radio.
Maybe I'm just being stupid.

 

Rise Records (BMG) would be working the single, it was sent out for adds (that's how it leaked), it just doesn't seem to have gotten many.

I’ll never forget when I was working at my alternative rock station, blink was playing our big festival and Tom agreed to an in-studio interview (which I got to film). The only reason he came in though was so he and Chris Georggin could get a meeting with my PD to play the new AVA song for him and pitch to get it in rotation.

 

Did you tell this story on AP.net once too? Cause either it was you or I've heard this now from multiple people. Which is kinda funny in its own right.

I'll always love Tom, but there seems to always be an ulterior motive with that guy.

 

It's just he can't resist digs at blink and it's old. Like he sounds 8 years old on ATST? Guess where else you sound 8? Every tired dick joke you still make on stage, your demo cd that had the most childish lyrics you ever released, you have a Strange Times movie and a childrens book whose main focus that we've heard is silly nudity. Like stop acting like you're too good for the thing that even made a single Angels and Airwaves song possible.

 

And "All the Small Things" is way better than "The Adventure."
