I highly doubt Polanski has more than a few minutes. Having Polanski be sympathetic would be against the interest of what happened to Bruce Lee in regards to the Manson case. Knowing Tarantino’s fanboy attitude towards Lee and having him in the film leads me to believe Polanski won’t be a likable guy.

 

That’s probably the best evidence for it so far. Lee will absolutely be a major player in the movie, and from a positive view.

 

Uuuuuuuugh I keep forgetting that Emile Hirsch is also in this.

 

I was about to ask if that was a good or bad thing, then read his wiki. Yikes

 

Something was rolling around in my head earlier about why I was on the fence about the movie, but I thought it was just the Polanski stuff. Then I read again that he was playing Sebring.

 

I'm going to make a ridiculously early prediction based on nothing just because it would be cool if I was right: Brad Pitt finally wins a competitive Oscar (Best Supporting Actor) next year for this movie.

 

i mean, there aren't a ton of roles Pitt deserves an oscar for, tbh

 

Oscar nomination worthy performances from Pitt IMO:

True Romance
12 Monkeys
The Big Short
Ocean's Eleven
Burn After Reading
Snatch

he's good in all those. i hardly said he's bad. i'm also not up in arms that he didn't win for any of them haha.

 

I legit would give him an Oscar for Burn After Reading. A movie I hated the first time I watched it.

Burn After Reading is my favorite Pitt performance. EVERYTHING out of his mouth is hilarious.

 

I’m surprised he was nominated for Moneyball... I like the movie but his performance was underwhelming

I rarely love a Coen bros movie the first time but yeah I legit hated it first
Time through.

 

I usually love their stuff from the start, but that one I also hated the first time. I think I just wasn’t in the right mindset for it. I watched it again like five or six years later and almost cried laughing for the whole film.

 

Chris Pratt is the best part of that movie, I think?

 

well, no. jonah hill is.

 

Oh yeah duh. But I'd put Pratt above Pitt.

 

Damn six minute standing ovation at Cannes.

 

I mean, Clerks 2 got an eight minute standing ovation. A movie I sort of like, actually, but still.
