Can’t figure out how I feel about it... I mean I knew they had a lot to cover in a short period but dang it just can’t help but feel rushed with the random time jump Jon kills Dany. What made this show fun was it was never clear who would end up on the throne, interesting it was bran, not a bad ending just idk, still gathering my thoughts I guess.

Also we assume Jon is going north with the wildings to start a new life with them right?

Bran thinks of himself as “Bran the Broken” throughout the books, thinks that’s what they’ll call him and such. I gotta re read now tho lol

Jon should’ve requested a trial by combat and lopped Greyworms stupid head off and peaced the fuck off back to Winterfell.

Yeah ok the more I think about the WWF style heel turn of Dany and Greyworm the more I get upset. Wtf everyone in this show has had their family's head cut off in front of them don't be a dick about it

Pretty boring ending to this eight year journey. Ah, it is what it is.

So much of what was built in many of the characters and arcs basically ended up being pointless in the end.

Was Bran controlling the dragon in that scene or are we writing the show better than the writers

Drogon flying away with her was hilariously cheesy and like...where ya going buddy her body’s gonna decay within a week or so....

Cant believe one of Emilia Clarke’s final lines was that lame “count to 20” thing. Also my friends and i were surprised there was no “Inside the Episode”

Drogon was a child grieving for his mother and what the quest for the throne ended up doing for her so I don’t blame him at all. I feel bad for him.

It’s interesting that Bran is so interested in finding him

With the ending in stone, the protection of Bran from the Night King gains a lot of significance in hindsight. “I am the memory of men,” and whatnot.

Thought the convo between them was great. Dany trying to convince him to help her rule and saying all the wrong things to a person like Jon in that moment...some things I might have changed about the execution of it (literally) but otherwise I thought they did that last scene of them well

It was just so....simple. She just gave a really good speech to her armies and then the best she could come with for John is I couldnt count to 20 and I know good, trust me. Like that could have been such a better scene and it felt like it was over so quick and really nothing profound or ground breaking was said. John didn’t hardly plead with her, dany didn’t hardly make a case for trusting her. There was hardly any tension in what they were saying.

I'm not sure what to think about the episode. The cinematography was pretty solid and we more or less knew Jon would kill Dany. Glad he gave Ghost some pets--finally. Cool to see Tormund again, even if he doesn't say anything. The Unsullied army just kept growing somehow. Like that part was always really confusing to me; each episode there seemed to be more.

Jon ending back up at the Nights Watch: not sure how I feel about it.

The show definitely needed at least a couple more episodes to properly handle everything that happened, from Dany's heel turn (though it was built up and not a surprise) to sorting everything out. Showrunners just wanted to peace out and that caused a lot of the problems with the show.

Oh well. It was a pretty good series with a lot of issues, but I will miss having that series everyone likes to talk about when it airs.

John didn’t need to plead with her - he already knew who she was. When she refused to pardon Tyrion and her speech, it reaffirmed and made it clear that there was no point in pleading.

I thought her acknowledging that Jon was “born for this” as a targaryen was a good touch, and thinking that she’s convincing him without realizing that she’s confirming everything Tyrion just said about her and etc and watching Jon know he’s about to kill the woman he loves and etc. was done well.

I was in a room filled with people who hated it. I literally felt like Twitter from the last week was in the living room and it really sucked the life out of the ending for me.

    It was literally fine.
